I have used donor 216 for 2 cycles and both were bfn. Thinking about switching donors for my next cycle but don't have any ideas of which one. Hoping Joanne gives me some suggestions.

Well, I am so glad that 2009 is behind me. I have had a rough year and ended up putting TTC on hold but am looking forward to hopefully TTC again soon in 2010 with either #216 or #292. Is anyone else going to be TTC anytime soon? What donor are you planning to use? Has anyone been successful and gotten pregnant lately using Midwest?

i've tried 097 once and am in the TWW with fourth attempt with 232. good luck and i will post on friday if i have success.

I just landed on this site and am so happy that MSB has its own forum. This is our first cycle TTC, but I have been watching my cycles and tracking ovulation for about a year. We got two vials of #216 yesterday and are just waiting for me to ovulate. Since this is our first cycle, any advice is welcome and appreciated!!! Has anyone else used 216 with any success? Joanne has been very positive and supportive. So, so far this has been a positive experience. Just hope we get a BFP on the first try

Yes I just joined a day or two ago. My DP is wonderful, but we are in this together. It's nice to talk to people who have already been through it, or have atleast been trying for a couple of cycles!

I was using a local bank to Indianapolis with no luck. I switched doctors and banks and on my first try I got a BFP!!! Im currently 11 weeks preg with donor 225. Good luck ladies

hey suka! we are thinking of trying with #225 next month - i wanted to check to see how everything is going and if you'd recommend him - do you know what his post-thaw motility was and what # try was this for you? thanks and i hope all is well!

Has anyone tried with #307 yet? I am considering using him #216, or #405 for my next IUI this summer. Joanne told me that #307 is very popular and has pregnancies reported so I was just wondering if anyone here has tried with him.

i have not tried him, we've tried: 098, 232, 038, and 345

Hello!

I am on try #1 with 097 TODAY! I am waiting for it to get here. Joanne said this as a good one for at home and some are on their 2nd with this donor. I tried A place in Washington in Nov. It didn't take. I think I felt myself ovulate Sat and Sun both sides. The ultrasound showed 2 lead follicles one on each side...

Any helpful hints anyone??

Ok ladies, DP and I have switched over to Midwest, thanks to all the input from each of you on this thread. It just feels right.

I sent in a list of 6 donors, and only 1 was available - 038. Joanne (and Vickie initally) were extremly helpful. Joanne sent back a list of her most fertile and available donors. With the exception of 038 from our first 6, Joanne said the other five were not available or had no pregnancy reported. Of the list she sent, we decided on 038 or 345, and 373 being our third choice. I have bright blue eyes and DP has blonde hair, so those were two traits we really wanted. My maternal grandmother, whom I was very close to, had bright blue yes as well. Since my parents are hazel and brown, I really wanted a donor with blue, so that we could hopefully continue in my grandmother's honor.

Does anyone know if Midwest offers baby pictures of the donors, or any picts?

Ok, enough of my blah, blah. Thanks for reading my post. We should O (hopefully) in about two weeks. I am starting Clomid later this week, if all goes as planned. U/S is scheduled for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for no cysts.

i don't think midwest offers any pics at all... good luck with 038, he seems great and has had lots of offspring! (have you checked out donorsiblingregistry.com?)

if you haven't checked out the midwest group at babycenter.com, i would encourage you to. there may be some gals willing to share pics of their babes.

Thanks wehrli for the donor registry. I haven't checked it out. It's been a crazy morning to say the least.

First, I started off talking to Joanne, and found out it will be mid-May until 038 is ready to be released, so we decided to go with 345, our second choice.

THEN...I went and had my ultrasound. Ick. Not good news. Doc found I have a very thick uterine lining, so she did a biopsy, and also two small cysts on my left ovary and an 'unknown' behind my left falopian tube. So, I am having a laparoscopy next week. It's going to be two full cycles before we can even attempt to try IUI.

I am a little discouraged about having to wait two cycles, but feel confident the doc knows what's best. We will wait the two cycles, then hopefully start on Clomid. One point of good news is that the doc will also do a HSG while she's performing the laparoscopy next week.

Using MWSB donor 188

hello i am so happy there is a forum i can talk to some of the girls that use Midwest My husband and I are going to midwest tomorrow to pick up 2 vials of donor 188 I have read on here that he hasnt had any pregnancies but we were told that he has had pregnancies and that he was very good if there is anyone out there that has used him please comment. This is our first insemination with clomid and its my week to ovulate and really am praying that he is the right donor to make us pregnant

2ezforyou: I read your post and wanted to tell you that even though 216's profile says he has hazel eyes....he passes on the blue eyed gene because I have seen pics of 3 children born from him that have bright blue eyes and he has blond hair also. Joanne says he is very fertile too! I just thought that I would mention it to you if case you are still trying to decide on a donor.

jenec25: How did your insem go? Have you tested yet? I myself used 188 twice for IUI but got BFNs both times. I am going to try with 216 now. Joanne also told me that 188 has many pregnancies but I haven't come across anyone on any forums that have posted about it. I am curious if he worked for you.

Hello all...my dp and I are looking into using donor #414, 265, or 305. Has anyone used any of these...what were your results? We have tried with sperm for Fairfax, but the post thaw #'s were less than 500,000 living sperm and the motility levels were horrible. Anyway...we are are wanting to get more info about MWSB.

We love MSB. We worked with them for our 18 month old son and they were incredibly helpful. He was healthy, and we can see some of the traits the interviewer commented on in his donor. When they said beautiful blue eyes, they weren't kidding or exaggerating. (momma is a mix allele). We were very happy with the profile information. It was more personal and personable than some of the other places we looked at.

We just contacted them today, as a matter of fact, to set up for our first try on our second child.

We used 038 and he helped make the most amazing little boy. They told me today ( I called to start for our second) that he's for siblings only at this time because he's proven so fertile.
