Midwest sperm bank? - Page 13

I'm from upper midwest my partner has had 2 little ones with Donor 345 I am currently pregnant 11 weeks with the same donor. Thankfully they limit donor specimens geographically once it's been used in that area so many times. We've had great luck with this donor all three times conception on first try with IUI. I only wish they could have provided a baby pict. He seems to be a very popular donor.

Congrats to you and your new pregnancy, hopefully you have a happy and healthy 9 months.

The don't really limit their donors that well.  Either that or their limits are very broad.  We used MWSB and I know our donor has over 100 offspring, probably closer to 200 considering how long he's been donating.  We had not idea this was the case when we used them, but have since found out.  I'm in contact with about 48 people who have used our donor and they have all used him in the past few years, and he's been donating for over 10, closer to 15 years, you do the math.  People should know this before they use this bank.

I actually got pregnant on my first try from donor 09 two years ago--he has mega sperm (I think my vial was 96 million!). Unfortunately, I miscarriaged at 7 weeks. I think that there are a LOT of pregnancies resulting from that donor--which is partially the reason why we switched to another sperm bank that seemed a bit more controlled and organized.

My partner and I have a 2 week old son from donor 345 from Midwest Sperm Bank.  And I personally would love communication with anyone who also has children from this donor.  And as for supper donors.... when I was trying to get pregnant......for a long time we tried the supper donors, and I never was able to hold a pregnancy.  I was just about to give up, stopped all the hormone shots and fertility treatment, just wanting to feel human again, and decided to try at home without all the drugs.  Sadly I did not get pregnant, but my wife who inseminated with me the same day at home did get pregnant.  You just never know, so I'm not sure I believe in super sperm per say....but I do know my wife was and is a pretty healthy individual, and her mother and sister also had a very easy time getting pregnant. So I think it has alot to do with the woman's genetics and lifestyle possibly.  And I look at my mothers history with trying to get pregnant and she had several miscarriages and just kept trying and eventually had me.  But I will say this to all the woman trying out there.... I do believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel for everyone, it just so happened that my light came from a very unexpected direction :)  Good Luck to All

Hello Everyone.

I am currently looking at using donor 372 from Midwest Sperm Bank.   Does anyone have information about him?  This is a very stressful experience.

I actually found a forum where one of the girls had all the long profiles for you to download. I'll see if I can find the link, bc I just have them downloaded nd saved. We're thinking of going the at home route as well. Hoping for a BFP. I knw they say 09 is a super donor, but all the qualities we asked for are there nd that means a lot. So on to cycle number 3 with a 2nd try with 09.

Hi all,

I just wanted to post something quick; I haven't been on here in a very very long time.  If there are any mothers of children conceived with Midwest donor #345 who wants to connect with other 345 parents, please feel free to message me or email me at lizspreitzer@gmail.com.  I have a sweet little girl who was born 9/11 and am happy to connect with other parents :)

Thanks,

Elizabeth

Hi Guys,

My partner and I are looking into MWSB for baby #3. I am very nervous (to say the least). Anyway we are looking at donor #307 and #493. Anyone out there had success with either?

I noticed that this thread goes WAY back to 2007 so please forgive me if somewhere in there someone previously mentioned these donors.

Either way.

Good stories of the bank, the staff?

Bad stories?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

Becky
