Esme is here!!

Hi all,

had my baby this morning at 4.54.......waters went at 6 the night before, proper contractions around 2.15ish.......husband got up 3.30ish (i wouldnt have gotten him up yet....) and insisted calling my collague and friend who is also my midwife.

It got quite intense after that and DS got up at 4 and just watched and got me smoothies.

at 4.40 i felt like pushing, midwife arrived at 4.45 and baby Esme was out at 4.54!!

DS cut cord after placenta came out and i only have a little tear......feeling soooooo much better than after having DS, can actually stand up without fainting .....bonus!!

She is 7lb8oz.....smaller than my son. although fast definately equalled more intensity!!!

She is gorgeous and has nursed well so far.....well obviously not too well as i have already got a slightly blistered nipple, but we'll figure it out!!

It's all far too good to be true!
