Looks like we're back...

How was your day, ladies?

Hooray! I had a really good day actually. One of our local High Schools had their homecoming parade. It was really big, and DS had a great time. We got a lot of errand running done today too! woo hoo! I did miss MDC though!

I had such a slow day today, nothing really to do, no one to talk to except dd who is 33 months old
So I was kind of missing mdc!
I wanted to ask about losing the mucous plug, b/c it has been coming out pretty regularly and instead of coming here I had to.... do a key word search!! (gasp!)
Looks like it doesn't mean a whole lot, doesn't mean I would be going into labor tonight or even in the next 2 days...
Oh well, I did eat some eggplant at lunch today

Ooh, jrayn, hope it will be soon! I lost mine about two hours before he was born. (But I'd been in labor for a day or two already!)

I've been reloading every time I've been back at the computer today. Glad MDC is back!!

I went CRAZY today w/out MDC!! I have been getting out of the house more this week than the past couple of months because of the weather being nicer. (we went for a long walk yesterday and walked to the store today - about 10 min each way) But I still needed you all!! I had this really wierd email from my mom that pissed me off to no end, and I ended up posting for advice on diaperswappers because I didnt know what to do and you all were not here! lol I wasnt sure if it was my hormones making me want to tell her to kiss my @## or if I had a legitimate gripe.

Tonight I went grocery shopping w/ DS and he drove me crazy (oh and I forgot to turn the lights off and almost ended up sitting there for an hour waiting for AAA - thank goodness the car turned on after 2 minutes of holding the key turned! I was terrified - its a looong way from home and we only have 1 car and I'm 39 wks and didnt like leaving DH home in the first place)

Ugh, my day was alright. My midwife and her kids and my kids and I went to CEC, and then we ended up home later than usual for nap, and my kids were PSYCHO (as only kids can be when late for nap) and they only napped for like an hour, and then I was PSYCHO as I was really tired, and finally dh came home and I cried and then napped for 3h.

Please tell me that feeling like an emotional basketcase is a sign of impending labor. Tomorrow is my due date.

I don't know if it means labor is coming or not. I know my Mom said she would come down to my house to watch my son so I could go get a rootbeer and she didn't show up till 1/2 and hour later than she said she would. By that time I was just tired and pissed so I didn't want to go and about busted into tears 3 times. Over a rootbeer :

I can COMPLETELY understand that!

Especially if you substitute ice cream for root beer.

Last time I didn't notice MDC was down but I did yesterday!! I so wanted to post about having a fever going into labor.. Seems like I caught a virus from the neighbors and my fever went up to 102.3! I was achy, cold, hot, etc. so DS and I spent the morning watching Sesame Street (such a rarity for him, tv that is) while I half slept, then took a nap (this is the kid who it takes at least 45 minutes of rocking/holding to get to sleep every other day of his life- today it was 5 minutes!!), then woke and went in the backyard where I sat and he played. Not a terrible day and I'm feeling better now, at 3 am- gotta love these middle of the night bouts with insomnia that I've never had in my life before!! I get up and EAT and usually check email/mdc.
I'm due today!!!

I was feeling crampy and icky and really needed my mdc mommas but it was not to be. :

so i forced myself to get the girls dressed and we got their hair cut and then out for fish fry. I ate all the stuff I have been avoiding- fish, coleslaw, macaroni salad, potato salad and fries and it was delicious. Then at night, dh and I had vanilla bean ice cream with homemade fudge sauce. I'm amazed I can move today.

Wow... I also self medicated with rootbeer AND ice cream. The kids had a good time with their floats and the promise of root beer floats got us through the grocery store with little to no whining. I missed you guys yesterday too
