I've noticed mine in two of three pregnancies... First was a hospital birth and it came out in the urine specimen cup when checking in! Lovely! (And I refused to sit there through another ctx to try to go again!) That one looked like a big chunk, maybe light brownish?
This time, it was more of the goopy mucous/snotty kind of stuff. One of those times when you're going to the bathroom for the millionth time and there's something *different* when you wipe - and there's lots of it! This happened a couple of consecutive bathroom trips. Colorwise, it was mostly clear with some red streaks.
With both of these, I was between 5 and 6cm at the time. I know some mamas lose theirs earlier than that, but for me it's definitely a good sign that labor is progressing well!
