It is JUST a date !!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!! Today is the official "due date".... Now I get why so many mommas say they will either be really fuzzy about the due date or not reveal it.... I am feeling really nagged right about now.
DP's mom has called 2x today... she called yesterday and asked if I have had any.... DISCHARGE.... I barely ever speak to this woman, she lives 1000 miles away, she is flying down tomorrow....
My grandma had to have me come over to her house b/c she said she thinks that it will be me in labor every time her phone rings.... :
Dp didn't want me to go over to grandma's b/c I might go into labor, I guess I should be sitting around the house and waiting.... :
People were calling grandma today to find out.....
AND..... I think I am having less braxton hicks today then I have had all freaking month!

When people ask when I'm due and I say "now," that's just not good enough. They want the date. I agree with you--very very annoying.

The calls don't bother me so much, but I have told people that I will not call them again until there is a baby. So if you haven't heard from me, that means I'm still pregnant.

And as for the Braxton Hicks... I've had days where I was in so much pain I couldn't walk. Then, nothing. Calm before the storm maybe? I'll keep telling myself that.

Ive gone into confinement, honestly. Im not calling anybody until I ahve the baby, because Im just so sick of the irritation in everyone ELSE's voice about why I havent had the baby yet!

My mom said that she wanted to come down after the baby was born, but then she planned on coming down THE FIRST WEEKEND IN OCTOBER!! I am not even due until the 13th and she was supposed to be here this weekend that just ended. I have no idea what she was thinking, but at the last minute I told her not to bother coming for a few more weeks atleast. She called about 4-5 times last week asking if I was "feeling anything". Talk about pressure...ugh.

I'm having a hard enough time sitting here wishing this baby would be born already without that on top of it. ugh

I've stopped answering the phone. I listen to the messages, and if there's an actual reason the person called, I'll call back. ("Just want to see how you're dooooinnnng.... " is not a reason. )

I made the mistake of going to a birthday party for my grandpa yesterday, and had to endure all sorts of annoying questions/comments/horror stories. : What was I thinking?!

: I am even considering changing my answering machine message to something like this: "Today is Monday, October 8. For those of you on BabyWatch there is no baby yet. Please leave a message." I do like that people call to check in. I just don't want to hear the "well what are you going to do" and " are you going to get induced" comments

Yea, this is why I tell everyone the 42 week day when they have to have a day! I actually just told my new neighbors upstairs and downstairs that I'm planning to have my baby here and that I have 2-4 more weeks. They both just asked if there's anything they can do for me. For once it was nice not being the freak!

We did change our answering machine message with our first because I made the mistake of telling everyone the "due date"

Last night I told my mom we aren't coming that way until after the baby is born (she lives 45 minutes from me) but she also knows I will call when in labor because she will be videoing and my dad will be watching the boys.

Seriously though, I don't understand why family and close friends call so much because you'd think they would know that we will call when the baby comes. I mean seriously people!
