Usually invite you to their baby showers if they have one? I wont be having one for a couple months or so but was just curious if I should invite my midwife. Of course I would love to have her there but I dont know if thats weird or not.

I have been invited to a couple, but actually the clients who have become friends, we've stayed in touch after the birth and become closer then.

I get invited to quite a few - I try to make it if I'm very close to the family (related, friends before pregnancy, or delivered several of their babes). I always appreciate being invited though.

I have never been invited to a baby shower unless the client was also a friend or family member.

Sometimes they do. I don't mind going. But I don't like baby showers in general.

I do like to go to Mother Blessings. Those are always more enriching.

I'm a doula and just attended the blessing way of a client on Sunday.
I guess it depended on how close you have become before the birth.
I can say that I enjoy being invited to showers, blessing ways and first birthdays! Most of my clients have included me some how.
