I've noticed many moms on this DDC feeling like they will deliver early and some are even worried about making it to 36 weeks.

I'm curious to see when everyone thinks they will give birth.

Me, I think it will be 40 wks 4 -5 days.

I really don't know. After the whole cervical shortening/bedrest ordeal, it seemed like the girls were going to come early. I can just see the irony of them coming on their due date or later, though.

Now that it's safe for them to be born, I think they may hang on for awhile.

I'm betting on 40 plus 3-4 days right now. Although not going to be surprised if I make it to 41 + as DD was 17 days past EDD.

i couldn't say.....i'm fearing i won't make it to oregon w/out giving birth which would be at about 35 weeks...that's probably JUST fear though... what i've been feeling is early november...around 37-38 weeks. we shall see!

I was feeling like I would be earlier but now I'm thinking it'll be around 38 weeks for a few reasons..

1- my girls were BOTH born in the 38th week
2- I'm measuring ahead all the time and I've never done that before
3- my BH's are more intense
4- the baby dropped way earlier this time around than I've ever had happen before.

I guess my main reason is that both of my girls came at around the same time (within 4 hours of each other in comparison to my pregnancies LOL) so it just seems like my body goes into labor a bit early Now watch this one hold out until 40 wks and make me crazy

Except for my first (who came at 36.5 weeks), all of mine have come right around 39 weeks plus or minus a day or so. #5 was 1 day before his EDD. So I'm guessing the same this time around, although I'm due for one 40+ weeker, so who knows...

I voted between 36 and 38. I haven't had any feelings on whether I'm having a boy or a girl, but I have had a really strong feeling I'll go early, despite this being my first.

(I'd appreciate it if none of you bring this thread back when they're scheduling my induction in December. )

I originally thought I would go 40+ weeks and then had a feeling it would be closer to Thanksgiving, so that's 39-40 weeks for me.

I have a new feeling it will be earlier, but realistically maybe it's just the energy and excitement brewing because of all of the births and impending births in the DDC and my pressure/cx's.

But the fact that I have had all mine at 37-38 weeks with intervention should serve as my reminder!

I went all that way to 37-38 weeks just to be induced with pitocin or have my membranes stripped. So I assume I would have gone further.

So 38-40 weeks is a good guess. I am not sure I will go over that.

I am 37 wks now and expect to go 40 wks. My last two came right on time, too. The baby hasn't dropped yet and besides BH contrax nothing else is going on. The past two pregnancies I have always thought the baby was gonna come early. I think it was just wishful thinking, sorry oskie.

So nobody that has chosen to elaborate thinks they'll go to 41, 42, 43 weeks? I think the actual number of post due date births will be much higher!

I put 40+ weeks. DS came at 40w5days so I'm thinking somewhere around there with this one too!
I didn't vote because I really feel like I'll go within 2 days of my edd either way. Which puts me right at 40 weeks or close to it. But I think that's really just wishful thinking since dh is planning to come back for r&r 4 days before my duedate. That would be the perfect time for me to have this baby. DD1 was a week late with induction. DD2 was 4 days early on her own. So, no idea, but right at my due date would be okay.

Nononononono!!!!!! My babysitter will be unavailable 6 days after I am due and there's no one else to watch my kiddos. Bringing them to the hospital is out of the question! I need to get this one out by 40 wks 4 days or else I am going UC.

I think if I were to go into labor naturally, I'd go to at least 41 weeks if not 42.. But I have to be induced at 39 weeks. They say most first pregnancies, if left to their own devices, go to over 41 weeks on average, so most first-timers should probably expect that (but be ready at 37)..

I put between 38-40. Even though DD was late, I'm getting the nausea and poops and obvious nesting way earlier this time and BH are stronger and more frequent. That and it would be just my luck since DH won't be able to make it up before I hit 39 weeks 3 days. Then again, I might go late and have to battle it out for a VBAC with the OB...

I feel like I'll go early, between 36 and 38 weeks, but I'm fully aware that it's probably wishful thinking! How long do you get the nausea and poops before the baby is born?

I get them on and off for weeks beforehand...I chalk it up to food not agreeing with me for whatever reason.
Yeah, I want to hear more about this nausea and poops thing... Sounds like what I've been experiencing the past few days, and I can't figure out what it is that I ate that is so not agreeing with me...

I can eat something totally normal that has never bothered me before and I get cramps, diarrhea, etc. If I get the slightest bit hungry, or am not eating enough protein or fat, I get nauseous. I mean, our digestive systems have slowed to cull every nutrient our body can get and this can just result in a sluggish system sometimes.
