Kid's pyjama pattern?

So I am starting my Christmas projects and am disappointed by the lack of a good pattern for pyjamas. I am thinking of just making my own pattern, because I just want a simple pant with a kimono-style top, but I don't have a clue on how kids' sizes run. I have to make sets for three five year olds, a large six year old, a three year old and a 12 month old.

Does anyone have a pattern that they recommend or any way to figure out the proper sizes/measurements? I would be extremely grateful for any help.

Thanks,

Christina

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! That measurement page was exactly what I needed. I am going to check out the links you all provided now to see the patterns. Hopefully I can get started today while dd naps. Hurrah!
