One breast producing more than the other?

Alright, My daughter is 5 weeks old and has been exclusively nursing since birth. Recently (maybe the past week?) I have noticed that my left breast produces about twice as much milk as my right breast. Is there anyway to even them out or is this typical?

Thanks mamas, you've all been so much help in the past weeks.

I've never noticed this with myself as I didn't really keep track of supply but I've had quite a few friend comment that one breast did produce more. I think it just worked it out itself eventually. One friend said she always offered the less producing breast first and that helped even things out. But it isn't a problem to be worried about.

I've noticed my left produces more - don't know how much more.

weird...it's my left breast that produces about twice as much too! i pump a little sometimes for dp to feed ds, but my right one barely ever spares any, which means i tend to just pump from the left one when i want to get right to it, which means now my left one is much larger! it's pretty annoying. i'm trying to pump more from the right to even it out but it's not usually willing. and i can usually only feel let down in my left one as well.

despite all this, ds seems to nurse the same amount of time on each, so it seems to work just fine for him!

My left produces more too! And when I pump for school it's faster and easier to pump from the left as well.

My right side has always produced more than the left w/all 3 of my kids.
