I am going to blow a gasket

I went in this morning for my appointment and NST at the OB. I got there and they told me my appointment is Thursday. I was so mad because I checked the appointment list before I left the house. (BTW, it is a half-hour drive to the hospital). They basically blamed me for having it messed up. They gave me a new printout of my upcoming appointments. I got home and checked them wtih the list I already had, and of seven appointments, ONE was the same. Six had changed. My entire work schedule for the next month was based on the printout I already had. I am now on hold (and have been for 22 min 13 seconds waiting for some answers as to why nobody called me.

Well, I just hung up and called back and said "I am going to assume that we got disconnected because 22 minutes is too long to hold for anyone. She was all apologies and said a new girl did my appointments and did not contact me.

I am so frigging mad. She did kiss my butt after I told her (lying) That I could lose my job over all these days I am taking off unexpectedly.

So, did they change any of them back? I just tried to schedule an appt. for 2 weeks out and they didn't have anything in the time frame I needed. I didn't realize they would fill up so quickly.

What a bunch of jerks! Going in as often as you need to, that's a major PITA. I hope they are going to change as many back as they can to accommodate you.

They didn't change anything. : She was all apologies and said "well, it was because of your NST's- we didn't want you to have to come in twice." I burst into tears and said "THAT IS NOT THE POINT! The point is that NOBODY TOLD ME the appointments changed!" If I was there I may have throw something at her. She blamed the new girl in the office- maybe they should double check the work of the new girl so things like this don't happen!

Throw something at her. Blame it on being pregnant! That just sucks.

In this time when there is little on our control and we worry, all we need is more things not going as planned right? -sigh- (((((Hugs)))))

wow, I would freak.. my schedule is so tight (as I am sure yours is too) it would totally destroy my month if that happened to me.. I mean, a place that jsut changes schedules w/o asking??? WTF ??? I totally could not handle that... hope you get it fixed soon.. I gues they figure at this point we aren't working anymore???/ ummmmm WRONG!!

How does someone get hired that doesn't know she should call someone when she changes a date? I bet it was just anybody there whom forgot but it's so easy to blame the new girl. That stinks!

Sorry, but that has nothing to do with being new. We are not talking about her messing something up in the appointment software or something. Anyone with 2 brain cells in their head knows that the person has to know when their appointments are.

I respect people a LOT when they can admit they screwed up. But I guess not everyone can and so the pay off is better when you blame someone else as a standard.

Ohh, I feel for you when it comes to staff at medical offices. Many many hugs and they are way out of line for not having told you, no matter how new they are - and for changing all the rest of your appts - that really sucks!

Fortunately my MWs have been great, but whenever I'm dealing with doctor's offices at the beginning of my pregnancies, they love to forget to tell me about things or reschedule things or not schedule things. I actually switched doctor's (not an easy thing to do in this province due to a serious family doc shortage) between last pregnancy and this one because I was so POd at the reception desk staff. And of course, I did practically throw things at them, so I thought that that might come back and bite me in the rear for future appts.
