Feeling Sad

I love watching Noah grow and he is getting to be more fun every day : ... but each day means one more day closer to going back to work.
I ask myself why I even have a baby if I can't be with him? Why have any more? (I would like one more.) What's the point of life if you're constantly running?

When DH and I were dating he said he wanted a housewife... but then *I* don't fit the bill because I can't clean the house to his specifications. He would only want me here if it meant he never had to ever lift a finger. I can understand that point to some extent - but the pressure is too much.

I go back on November 5th - but I already feel the feel the pain. I dread it terribley. Anyone else going through this? :

Dp and I are already debating when I'll go back post partum. So far it's been very amicable, and we're both feeling heard - but at the same time, I wish it wasn't a discussion at all.

financially, i have to work right now as well. be happy you have till the 5th of november. i had to start back to work this week and my babe is only 9 weeks. i changed job and this was the start date if i want to take the job. it is my dream job but i desperately miss my baby. all i do is come home and snuggle him all night. enjoy the time you have. be in the present and dont worry about the date.

Do you "need" the income? Does childcare cost much? Could you figure out a way to stay home? Do you have any barterable skills you could trade for extra house help if that is not your strong suit? I used to mow a lady's lawn in return for her giving my kids piano lessons... ((((Hugs)))) I understand. I worked with my first 3.... I am so glad that life is different now.

Uh, wow. Taking good care of babies and toddlers is a full-time job, and an important one. I stayed home after the birth of ours and DH continued to work for the $. We split most of the household stuff.

What are your DH's specifications for how the babies get raised? And who's going to be doing that if you're both working? Just some food for thought . . . I'd rather have my partner taking care of my kids and a messy house than someone else taking care of the kids and more $$.
