tell me its ok we dont have a name... - Page 2

No name here, either. My girls like Samps. Yeah. I'm thinking Boy.

We haven't agreed on a name yet either. My favorite names of all time are suddenly popular and I'm not handling it well. DH's picks are OK but not beautiful IMO. Early in the 1st tri I think the baby told me her name but I don't really like it and I think DH hates it! : We tell everyone that we want to see what she looks like but the truth is we haven't really agreed on anything.

I don't want to end up like my friend - her DH named both her kids while she was out of it after birth. He named their son after himself after she had vetoed the idea! :

Anyone else in the same boat? Suddenly, I'm a feeling overwhelmed by not have at least a few (well, I have a few, but DH isn't really sold on any of them, and his names are well, not my style!)
We are there & normally don't agree until labor, so don't worry about it.

I personally think that babies name themselves- sometimes long before they're even conceived (my second has named herself Eleanor- and I don't even have a first yet!
I whole heartedly agree. And it'll come to you. I had to meet wof my babies face to face to "know" their names.

We had one name agreed on in 4 before birth. And then that baby looked me straight in the eye and I knew it was wrong! So much for being prepared. You gotta meet face to face to be sure IMO.

It feels like my girl has named herself. It makes me think I AM having a girl because of how strongly the name just came out of the mist and hit me.

I've never met a person without a name, so I have the utmost confidence that something will present itself

We haven't agreed on something yet, either.

We don't have one either...and it is driving me a bit crazy. I just try not to think about it too much!

I'm in the same boat. My DS and I have a boys name, but not a girls. We have done very little to prepare for this baby. I am not sure what to do. DS is 18 months. I need to get the baby clothes out and find a place for them. If we have a girl I only have baby boy clothes for now. I have done nothing but buy diapers. Nothing! My friends laugh that we haven't gotten ready. The time has passed so quickly. My due date is exactly one month away! I can't believe it. I wouldn't worry about it to much. I'm not.

It's ok.. We don't have a name yet either. We went in to L&D for a few hours the other night thanks to my "irritable uterus" and I brought the name book so we could get down to it, but it was the middle of the night and we were just too tired. I have no idea when it'll finally happen that we'll be up to dealing with it. My DH is a PITA and is just never up to thinking/talking about it. In his defense, he works 60+ hours a week and is always super tired and just mentally exhausted from work, and then on his days off he just wants to relax rather than get down to the serious business of finding the name, so I understand.. He knows it's really getting down to the wire though and we know we'll have to get to it soon. Naming a baby is just so hard and so important and so permanent, it makes it a chore..
