My local mom's group AND my local AP/Natural Family group do a "mommy fair" every year. All the WAHM's set up a table to show off what they do/sell. It is a very cool way for them to gain exposure. Some of the things are more mainstream ie)jewelry, makeup, Tastefully Simply, etc. The rest are really cool more AP related booths; a baby wearing shop, cloth diaper shop, wooden toys, and some local artisans (photographers, hemp jewelry, etc.) okay now to the point...
My mom was asking what was down there and I was telling her about it. I mentioned that the baby wearing lady had a beautiful Mei Tei in a print exclusive to her shop. She said, "well go down and buy yourself one and I will mail you a check". I am SO excited!! I really needed something to cheer myself up, and that definitely gave me a big boost! I can't wait to go down and buy it, use it, and LOVE it! My mom ROCKS!

I just wanted to share my happiness!! I hope everyone else has something good happen to them today!

Oh how wonderful!!! My mom bought me the hotsling I've had my heart set on for awhile~~~ it was so great to be given something I really really wanted!!

Now~~~ we just need our little ones to wear inside .

Seriously! I am going to make DS ride around on my back if this baby doesn't come soon. He is not so into baby/child wearing so it won't be easy! I wonder if one of my cats would go for it?

Oh, yeah, I can SEE my cats in a carrier now. Or, rather, I can see the disfigured face that would be looking back at me in the mirror, and the shredded carrier that I would be holding...

Glad you had such a neat thing happen today! So cool!!

I was at a local resale shop today when I found an exact copy of one of my favorite baby dresses from dd1 that got ruined by mold in my wet basement! I was SO psyched!

ITA about just needing something to put in. My friend sent me a beautiful WAHM sling today - black with an awesome print pocket. I think I'm gonna go play with it now. . just to, ahem. . practice. . .

Oh I've totally been walking around with various teddies and dolls in my hotsling. If I look in the mirror I can visualize my babe in there .

Oooh dolls, good idea! Much better than one of my cats. I don't really need stitches for my birth!

I am about to take the thing over to my friends house and borrow her baby! Just for a minute! I hope I can remember how to get it on though!
