I just bought a basal thermometer and I see no difference between it and my regular one except that it is pink LOL. It only reads to 1/10th of a degree just like my other thermometer...do I really need this? My regular one is faster too. I know they are supposed to be more focused on a smaller temp range but it started reading at 94 and who knows how high it goes...just seems like I don't need a special thermometer???

If your fever thermometer is accurate at 96 degrees +, and measures to the tenth of a degree, you're probably fine. My fever thermometer only measured every 2 tenths. The key is to make sure those tenths are accurate because a tenth here or there can make a big difference.
