Where are you now with appointments, being dialated, etc?

Just wondered how everyone was doing in this department. Here is my update from my 34 week visit last night:

-I am at the point where I should be having 2 week visits, but since I'm an hour away from the MW office, they are letting me go 3 weeks this time. I'll go every week after that! My next visit is to finalize my birth plan.

-Baby's position: posterior
-Baby's heartrate: 130s and 140s for the last few visits

-Dilation: none
-Effacement: none

Tests- just had my GBS done last night and should know by Friday
no more U/S for us unless we go 3 weeks overdue

Due date- Nov 18 according to 20 week U/S

my appts are every 2 weeks because of my distance.

1cm dilated
very soft (did not ask number for effacement)

had an appt on Monday
- did gbs test
- found out the quickest way to let my dr know I'm going in to the hospital in labor so that I don't have to rely on the staff there to call him because they never call him in time.
- Didn't check on dilation or effacement
- Baby is head down and is facing toward my right side
- HR has been around 130's-140's
- measured at 37cm at my appt although I'm 36w or if you go my early u/s due date I would have been 35w5d at my appt
- weight gain/bp/urine all fine

I go back in 2 weeks (I'll be about 38 weeks by then)

Had a bunch of BH on Sat night and I feel like baby moved down after that. My groin area painful any time I went to lay down (pillows VERY much needed), BUT now they ache at other times too. Like getting up after laying down, much more pressure (and lower) than before. Even just sitting I can now feel pressure in the groin area.

-- Appointments every 2 weeks (next one due 34/35 weeks)
-- No cervical/vaginal checks
-- Gained 12 pounds total for entire pregnancy, none since the last appointment I think
-- Head down, LOA or ROA apparently, but not posterior.
-- Placenta found by doppler way up high, my right, possibly posterior.
-- Heartrate in 160s like really early pregnancy, up from 140s-150s the past few months.
-- No swelling or other signs of pre-e. Urine was clear!!!!!
-- Measured 33.5 weeks (hmmpphh! MW kept telling me I was measuring small)

Tests last Friday: GBS and bloodwork to check rh and liver, etc. Supposed to have heard back by now. In no hurry though.

Due date is still a mystery. You may pick the one you like: 11/23 or 11/30

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow, and should be coming in weekly. However, the last time I was in was 34 weeks, and I won't be back until 37.5 weeks. The birth center is totally busy right now, and I prefer to wait, anyway. The appointments are kind of boring, honestly!

-EIGHT DAYS until I can give birth at the birth center (37 weeks)
-BUT I feel like he'll come closer to the last days of October/1st week of November--he's still nice and high
-no vaginal exams yet; I haven't decided if I'll ask for one or not
-Baby is head down and has been for a long time
-Most of his body is on the right side of my abdomen, protruding out above my right ribs (ouch! lopsided! hard to breathe!)
-BP has been consistently good
-swollen ankles, anyone? Add calves to that, too!
-I've consistently measured 2-3 weeks ahead, which means nothing; however, I do feel like this baby is bigger than my first two were

Just hoping to get some more nesting (cleaning, organizing, cooking) done before I start feeling labor-y!

I am 35 weeks on Saturday.
I have an appointment at 36 weeks and then once a week after that.
I haven't had any vaginal exams yet.
Baby has started to hang out head down and I am very happy.
My midwives will deliver at home at 37 weeks.
I measure a week ahead, but look 40 weeks already compared to others I have seen.
I am very ready to be done. I can't wipe myself, walk very far, or roll over in bed.
My groin and legs constantly ache like I lift weights everyday.

I'm 36w2days

So far baby is head down, gained about 17 pounds, BP and all that look good. No internals yet, not sure if I will opt for one about 38 weeks or not. Going in weekly on Fridays from now on. . . have my GBS this week, fun. :

I think he may come soon, not sure, I just have that feeling. He's really low, my groin area aches like crazy and my other kiddos were both ten days early. We'll see. . I am actually fine if he's late, I could use some more prep time, lol.

Had my 35 wk appt. yesterday.

-Gained 26.5 lbs so far total (1.5 in the past 2 weeks)
-Did my GBS test
-No vaginal check and will not have any at future appts.
-Measured 33 cm. (measured a few weeks behind with dd2 as well all the way through the end, but she came out 7 lbs. 2 oz., so no worries.)
-Baby is head down, in fact, I think she may have dropped some (I can never really tell), as mw said "she's WAY down there, firmly engaged." She's my only babe that has been fully in the correct posterier position, her butt is right up at the top between my ribs.

I won't have another appt. until 37 weeks. She gave me the option of coming in after 1 or 2 weeks, but I really don't see the point in going every week.

-heartrate-forgot to ask but the exact number but it was ok


they don't check anything internally so thats all I know!

- 36 week home visit is on saturday. going in once a week after that.
- at last appt, i had gained 38 lbs. total
- baby is head down
- no checks so i have no idea how dilated/effaced i may be
- iron level is back up and good to go for the birth

Oh yeah, weight gain... ya'll had to mention that, huh? Is there a smiley with fingers in it's ears??

I've gained 48 lbs total. Started at 138ish and am now 186.
13 of those have been in the last 3 weeks. And no, I'm not eating any differently.

With Pix, I started at about 120ish and gained probably 80 lbs.. the last I wrote in her book said I had gained 67 and I didn't update from there (I was about 32 weeks I think when I entered that, so I'm sure I gained wayyy more!)

MWs have not mentioned weight to me at all and when I've brought it up, they pooh-pooh it and say don't worry about it.

I declined all tests so I don't know about GBS or anything.

I'm 36w6d now, I was 35w5d at my last appointment

-baby heart rate was 154
-I measure 40cm-up 4 from previous week!
-I've gained 15lbs total
-bp was fine
-urine was finally clear
-I'm GBS+ but I wasn't going to test except for the leukocytes that have been in my urine
-She's supposed to start me on the homeopathic versions of the cohoshes this week, but she MIA
-baby is facing the front-forget the abbreviations

I think that's all...I've either got a giant in there or I'm still very high and up front. I'm not waddling much, so must likely baby is just high.

Had my 36 week appt today:

Am 36 weeks 2 days along
Both babies heartbeats were nice and strong (Baby A's is slower than B's who is the more feisty one )
Blood pressure nice and low
Weight is 165 (started at 130, lost a little from m/s - so almost a 40 pound gain so far)
No clue on fundal height - though I assure you I am huge!
Haven't had the strep B test - was neg with ds - my mw is very hands off, didn't even do the glucose thing, so I guess she's not doing this one - I didn't bother asking
Both babies head down, Baby A engaged in pelvis
No cervical checks - but she's sure I am dialated based on the BH conx I've been having and the pressue I've been feeling
Seeing her every week now, so next appt is Wed the 17th
Pre-registered at the hospital after my appointment - very surreal to be filling out 2 baby forms!

ETA - I asked my mw how long she thinks I will carry these babies, and she said probably close to full term/40 weeks!!!

Had appointment today

- GBS negative
- Negative for the other STD they wanted to check for.
- BP low
- 211 pounds for a gain of less than 20 by their reconning, 30 by mine
- Fundal height 41 cm
- Heart rate 135
- Head down
- Cervix closed but soft
- Had to get Chlamydia test because the PA forgot it last week and if I want to pass on eye goop without a fight I need the say so that I'm STILL negative.
- Ankles are swelling like mad in the evenings, but not too bad at my AM appointments.
- I get to hear next week about my birth plan since Doc got an international phone call at the end of the visit.
- I'm on the weekly plan now. Will go to the twice a week plan after my due date if we make it that far. Yay NST!

i like this thread! it's nice to get a quick recap of where everyone is.

as for me,

* i'm 34w2d
* measuring just a smidge ahead of 34w (ie about 34.5cm), which i'm weirdly excited about because i was measuring a week behind for so long. i upped the protein and stuff, caught up around 28w, and now am hoping for a nice sized baby!
* baby has been head down since around 25w and has stayed there, thankfully. s/he has rotated from LOA to ROA and back again several times, but has stayed in anterior positions for a long while now.
* we don't do internal exams
* have been having biweekly visits. our home visit is in exactly two weeks (36w2d) and my mw will deliver at home any time after that. !!
* carrying CRAZY high. baby likes to sit on my right rib when i'm sleeping and i wake up in the worst pain!
