Whatcha shopping for?

Just wondering what personal care stuff you all still need to get. I found some non-lanolin breastfeeding stuff on earthmamaangelbaby that I may order today. I am heading to Target later on for a few nursing tanks and maybe a pair of yoga pants for post-partum (I hate nightgowns) and some nursing pads.

What are you all still looking for?

I'm looking for something that I can wear during labor (at the hospital) other than the nasty johnny thing (maybe a cheap nightgown with buttons down the front or something so that I can have easy nursing access after delivery). Any ideas as to where I can get something???? I've looked everywhere and its driving me crazy!

My mom got me a nursing gown and robe from Motherhood... I don't know if it is exactly what you are looking for but I will post a link. BRB...

ETA: here it is:
http://www.motherhood.com/Product.as...Category_Id=16

It is not too long so it may be OK for birth.

I think she got it at Macy's- they have a motherhood department (at least the ones near us do) and their prices and return policy seem better there. The motherhood dept is usually near the baby dept...

I found a store that has EarthMamaAngelBaby stuff and bought bathing things for me and Baby. I bought a sitz bath there that I don't have to brew. DH took me to VS and got me post birth things to wear. I have many nursing tanks for until I know what my bra size will be...I think may be done shopping for me! The only other thing would be a breast pump, but I wouldn't need it for a long while hopefully anyway.

I need to check and see what we have as far as NB clothes for the late fall and winter.

I mostly need postpartum and nursing clothes for myself, chocolate for the birth , my prescription for percocet, a few more items for the birth (extra sheets, etc), a coffee grinder for the placenta encapsulation, more postpartum meals... I want a Gypsy Mama sling...

Admittedly I think I have more time than most of you I'll be eager to see what products really work for your comfort as the next month and a half passes and the babies come. Be sure to review some of your stuff for our benefit here. I'd love to know both for myself and for my future clients.

I am wondering if I should do some early Christmas shopping since I'm expecting to deliver at the end of the month...I cannot fathom having the time or energy to do any shopping in December. We don't do much, usually one special thing for each child, but even so my first two weeks will be a blur, and the middle two weeks of December are awful for shopping.

What department in Target has the nursing tanks? I couldn't find them in lingerie or maternity and the stuff I wanted at target online is backordered 6-8 weeks or so.

It's in the lingerie, but it's not obvious in any Target I've been to. I usually have to ask, but it's there.

I still have to buy fresh nursing bras (mine are all worn out!), but I will probably wait until baby is born to buy the correct size.

I also need to sew some scrap fleece holders for prefolds, which I will use as post partum pads after my one package of sposie pads runs out.

I suppose the last thing I need to do, for me, is to get some meals in the freezer. I don't want to cook for a while!

I have a few non-essentials I'd still like to get, but DH is being a pill about spending at the moment. I have most of this stuff on my registry (that no one has looked at or asked about, except my mom who got me my new Boppy for my birthday, and DHs aunt who bought the cutesy stuff, which I shouldn't have put on there since there is there is more useful stuff we need- but I couldn't resist the trumpette socks! ) So, the few remaining things I'd like to get are:

extra carseat base
changing table pad thingy & covers
mirror for rear-facing carseat
preemie prefolds
Baby soap
Hamper
gripe water
calms forte for DD

Yeah, I found them in with the nursing bras. Just got home (empty-handed)- they were $16.99! I need to stop being so cheap. I saw a nursing nightgown on their website that was FORTY BUCKS. Forget that! No freaking way I am spending that much.

For me...I think I'm done. Been buying things here and there over the last few weeks. I have lanolin, breastpads (disposable since I always struggle with thrush, they work better for me), 2 nursing bras (though not real fancy, waiting until at least 2 weeks postpartum to buy the fancy one!), chux pads (have to take these with me to the birth center), and overnight pads. I should probably buy some nursing tea and a few cheap nightgowns for laboring in. I thought I might hit up Walmart, as they almost always have those huge ugly t-shirt nightgowns. I figure they would work for laboring. As much as I love that Motherhood one, you really need 3-4 changes for labor, and I wouldn't want to spend that much just for something to labor in.

Other shopping:
-Still need to get the kids surprise bags put together
-Do some Christmas shopping
-And get Bronwynn's birthday shopping done.

1) Pads for after birth

2) Nursing pads

3) Easy meal stuff for James (stuff I can just nuke in a minute or so)

4) More wipes, we don't have as many as I thought we did

5) Food for labor (soup, popcicles, etc)

6) Mothers Milk tea

7) Food staples

I'm pretty sure thats it, we have our coming home outfit, we have enough clothes, my shower is tomorrow so I am hoping that I'll get the rest of the stuff I need.

For Christmas the grandparents are all getting a framed 8x10 pic of the kiddos cuz we're poor. So thats taken care of...just gotta get gift cards for everyone else and call it good.

Almost done here too!

-bouncy seat
-batteries for bouncy seat
-burp cloths

Wow we're getting close!

Oh Maisie, get back to Target & buy those nursing tanks! Believe me, I've scoured the internet & that's your best deal. I even ordered some from gap.com & had to return them b/c they run big and have weird nursing openings. The ones at Target are awesome & you can try them on before you buy.
Oh, shoot, batteries for my swing, must get those also.

I need more burp cloths (all mine vanished into thin air) but I'm hoping I'll get some at my shower, if not I'll pick a package up. I just use the gerber prefolds, they work AWESOME!

A double stroller is at the top of my list...oddly. I've picked up a lot of odds and ends over the last few months like breastpads and other breastfeeding essentials. My nursing tanks from DD are still in good shape but I'll need new nursing bras. Right now I have two that are in okay condition, I'll send either DH or my mom to buy new ones when the baby arrives, who knows what size I'll be.

I'm a lot more laid back this time around. And, less worried about getting everything in order. I figure DH and my mom can take care of getting stuff if I need it before I'm able to get out and get it on my own. But I have gotten a lot of house stuff together- like staples, frozen meals, and paper products.
