HAIR on a ultrasound???

The woman told me she say a lot of hair swooshing around on the ultrasound today. She says she has been doing this 20 years... is that possible??

When I had my ultrasound the tech said she could see hair... I didnt see it, but whatever, I suppose we will see.

My mw says you can see hair on a detailed u/s.

Yeah, sometimes you can, depending on the position of the baby, and how long the hair is. I'd not sure I'd have believed it myself if I hadn't seen it myself with ds, it does sound pretty out there!

I never thought you could but at 28 weeks I had an u/s and we got a picture of the hair. It was at the bottom back of her head, so who knows how much she has by now!

Yep! Mine had tons of hair on their ultrasounds and they are still hairy kids

Wow, I didn't know you could see hair! really cool! I guess I wouldn't since my 2.5 year old just now has a head of hair!

Our u/s tech said the same thing! No surprise since, according to my own dear mother, when I was born they "thought they had given birth to a gorilla". Love those Italian genes!

Yup! We saw dd's hair on the ultrasound. She looked kind of like she was wearing a little halo. In pics of the back of her head, you could see the little lines where it hung down on her neck. We thought it was funny because my ds (who was 13 mo at the time) was at the ultrasound and had not one hair on his little head! HaHa!

It's possible; at two of my u/s' the techs said they could see a lot of hair. I asked what it looked like and she said that there is a blurriness around the head.
Turns out that my daughter didn't exactly have as much hair as I was wishing for. I think that thick dark hair on babies is really cute.

yes the technician said she could see hair on my DS at my 34 week ultrasound.

When he was born he had visible hair on his head.

On the video of my dd and ds at 30-34 weeks hair is clearly visible floating around the head. Both mine were born with pretty good heads of hair.

Not in your DDC, but thought I'd chime in. When I was pregnant with my son, we could see hair floating around in the amniotic fluid on the last couple of sonos I had (post 30-weeks...I had a lot of sonos due to polyhydramnios).

And sure enough, DS was born with so much hair, he already needed a haircut!
