How are you "killing" time?

Just wondering what everyone else is doing to keep themselves busy? During the day the general upkeep of the house, errands, and having fun with my two year old keeps me busy. At night though, I get bored! DH studies at night, so I don't have company. I have been online, watching tv, reading, and stuff like that. Anyone doing anything creative or fun? I am so tired, it is hard to do anything that requires effort.. but awake enough that I cannot sleep. Ahh!

So tell me, what are you up to these days? Is anyone still doing last minute things? Do you still have things you need to get before baby comes? Any exciting gifts lately?!

Can you tell I am extremely bored?

I read a REALLY cute silly funny (but well-written) book called "Something Borrowed." I was hoping I'd have the baby before I finished it. No such luck. However I do have the sequel, "Something Blue."

I am also x-stitching while I watch tons of TV.

My dh studies at night too, and has classes two nights a week, so I am in a similar boat. I have been pretty busy either finishing up some last minute work projects (yeah, I am supposed to be on maternity leave. Oh, well.) or tidying up the house. I have done a few fun projects. Dh made about a hundred paper cranes that I strung up and hung over Ellen's crib. I also made Sofie's Halloween costume, and I have been busy trying to get mold out of a couple of baby dresses. I have been cleaning stuff out, and listed some stuff on Craig's List, and tonight I am going to mend the diaper bag that somehow tore a bit when I washed it.

I also have three x-stitch projects lined up, so I am going to be watching tv and x-stitching my way through my weekend.

Oh, and I have a pg journal that I bought in Feb. and haven't touched.

Night before last I packed my *just in case* bag

Last night I made (almost finished) a fleece no sew blanket for the little one.

Tonight I am reading all I can get my eyes on about Polyamory.

I was going to take a bubble bath but the water is only coming out at a trickle:

My house s so cluttered but b/c i clean up after the kids at work all day the last thing I want to do is clean my house.

I'm a WOW widow tonight,

I shold try to figure out those snappis my sis sent me and bring some diapers into my room but I have no energy.

I found a little muslin doll at Hobby Lobby - presewn but not stuffed. Tonight I stuffed it with wool, sewed wool hair on, and started crocheting him a wool suit - a little "man doll" for ds. I've read 4 novels in the past month...

our prepaid WOW accounts finally canceled, so DH and I have been crawling the walls this week. We just assume that we wont have enough time after the baby comes anyways, but since I'm due Saturday and babe isnt here yet, we know we have some time to go still.

I have been knitting quite a bit, but feel like I could knit for the next 6 months and still have more I want to do. I also have a pile of squares cut for wipes that I'm making that I havent finished yet. I usually am too crappy feeling at night to sit at the sewing machien though. I've been mostly vegging on the couch knitting and sleeping and watching TV. Luckily TV is in the "new season" atm, so all of the shows that were in repeats all summer are back.

I really do love knitting though. I just learned over the summer so It still amazes me when I go to make something and it actually comes out somewhat like the picture.

I've been doing mostly what the OP has been doing. Other than the fact that my dh isn't in school, he plays his computer game every night for a few hours. I think he is doing it now because he knows he can't when the baby comes

So cleaning up, actually doing the dishes and cooking. I think we need to go to the park!

The only things I have left to do are set up the crib next to our bed and set up the birth pool. Everything is ready for her to come. Including my kids, dh and my midwife :

I am seriously considering calling my mommy and asking her to come clean my house! It isn't really dirty, but I would love for it to have a good deep cleaning. I am way too tired to do it at this point. I am feeling the need to reserve the little energy I do have at this point.

I do plan on doing laundry today, if that counts for anything! We live right by our states university and this weekend is their homecoming. Tonight is the bonfire, and tomorrow the parade. I am excited about that. I really didn't think I would make it this far. Hmm, maybe I can make it to the Halloween party next weekend? -I sure wouldn't be surprised.

i spend to much time on the computer. my partner is working from hoe until the baby is here and so we are spending a lot of time together going out to cafe's and stuff. i think i may do some sewing today or some crafty stuff. i keep feeling like doing crafty stuff and then i end up not doing anything. well i did try carving wood but that ended badly

oh and i am spending a lot of time with my kitties and reading about babies and kids and breast feeding, i should read something not baby related. i think i even have some books i have been waiting to read.

I busted out a ton of books that were childhood favorites and am re-reading them. Right now I reading the Madeleine L'Engle series (A Wrinkle in Time, etc.) I love how fast they read! ha ha! so bored!

Did you know she passed away about a month ago?

i've broken out the carpet cleaner (for inside) and the pressure washer (for outside). not nesting urges, just 'activity' since sitting around on my butt the last 5 days has not brought on labor.... I've also ransacked the local public library 'staff picks' book shelves a few times, but have yet to read any of the books because i have no attention span.

In my more desperate 'what shall i do' moments, i've been watching episodes of 'Darling Buds of May' dvds from the library, a charming tv series from Brittan that launched Catherine Zeta Jone's acting career...

I did read that on the news, and then I cried all day! Those books were so special to me as a child, and I can't wait until my boys are old enough to enjoy them.

I have no time to be bored. I keep creating more things for myself to do. SO far this week, I have:
*Made dd a no-sew fleece blanket
*Made myself a babywearing poncho
*Made some homemade tushie balm and tushie spray for baby
*Washed and prepped all homebirth supplies
*Typed up lists of thing my dh needs to do after baby is born
*Typed up important #'s and emergency info for dh and doulas
*Made my belly cast
*Went to Build-a-Bear with dd to make a present for "baby #2"

I could go on...

Tomorrow, I'd like to get started on my comfrey compresses for postpartum and start the ponchos I'm making for dd and my 2 nieces for x-mas. I'm also making "baby #2" a hat to match our babywearing poncho. Oh, and we're going pumpkin picking tomorrow, too.
I'd better get cracking!!
