Can anyone suggest a place to buy bamboo bowls, plates, and cups? We've fallen in love with bamboo...for the environmental benefits of it, and because it isn't plastic and won't be as easy for our son to break like glass is, LOL. Is bamboo used for dishes treated with any chemicals that we should watch out for? From the descriptions I've read, it says that "food safe glue" is used to assemble them...how food safe is it really? Does anyone know if that glue is vegan?

there was lots of bamboo stuff at the Marshall's here. i also havw wondered about the safety-i suggest finding an email addy if there is one and contacting the company that makes the specific piece and see what they have to say.

WalMart and Target now carry bamboo items. I don't know anything about the glue.
