Need resources on pre-e

Hi all My best friend had sever pre-e last pg and was on bp meds from the first trimester. She is pg again, just confirmed yesterday, and is interested in any info on preventing/lessening the severity of pre-e this time. It's my understanding from reading that the type of pre-e she had (extremely early onset) is the type that is more likely to return with subsequent pregnancies. Is that correct? Is the Brewer diet the one that helps pre-e? Any other resources for her? She hasn't seen the OB yet, but will soon, and I'd like to get her the info before that. Thanks!

The Brewer Diet is the one that helps with pre-e. I would also recommend that she limit her caffeine intake, do some prenatal yoga and try to relax as much as possible.

Here's an extensive thread about pre-e. It's long but worth it

Wow! Thanks for the great information. A lot of midwives in my area recommend the Brewer Diet and I have to admit I had never done a lot of my own research. I still say that eating well, and taking care of yourself can go a long way towards a healthy pregnancy and birth. That being said, such great info about pre-e really is really helpful. Thanks.
