Robeez or ShooShoos?

Which do you prefer or are they pretty much the same? DS has been shoe-less since birth, but since he is now 8 months and noving around more, I want to be ready in the shoe dept when he starts walking and standing. I like the idea of the soft-soled shoes.

Are there differences between Robeez and ShooShoos?

Thanks.

BTW, let me introduce myself! I usually hang out on the diapering board, but I am trying to branch out now. I'm Melanie, a SAHM for the most part, though I am also working on my M.Ed in Counseling. My son, Christian just turned 8 months--growing up way too fast. We currently live in Idaho but my Dh and I are from the East coast.

Hey there~
I don't know about Shooshooz but my dd just outgrew her first pair of Robeez. I loved them. They were the only shoe that stayed on her foot the entire time. She didn't seem to mind wearing them either. I plan on getting another pair. Good luck.

I'm probably not much help, but I found that for my son I prefered soft star shoes (http://www.softstarshoes.com/) to robeez or Sho b doos....don't know about ShooShoos.

The soft star shoes look nice, but $30 a pop is a bit much for me. I can get ShooShoos for only $15.50 a pair and Robeez for $19, which is why I am deciding between those two.

Thanks!

I contacted Buskin's (Australian made shoes) to see if I can do a co-op. They run about $20 retail. I won't hear back from the company until later this week because they're on vacation...

Our daughter has been wearing Robeez for a few months now and I love them. So far they have been the only soft shoes that she cannot get off of her feet. So I would definitely recommend them. I am not sure if they are still on sale but they were half price at toymobile.com and they only charge $3.00 for shipping on you total order.

I like Robeez a lot and I haven't tried Shoos yet. I think I may order a pair of Shoos for Lucas in the fall because I am sick of the Robeez styles for boys. I've heard good things about Shoos though.

Perhaps a stupid question, but can these shoes be worn outside? I have DS bare foot inside but he is beginning to stand and might be walking by the time it becomes colder outside. Thank you.

another good soft sole shoe is Bobux. I prefer these to Robeez because they wash up better in the machine and they fit better imnsho. The overall construction I like better.
Good Luck . there are alot!

I was actually wondering the same thing.

This may vary from brand to brand, but here's what Buskin's says: http://www.buskins.com/faq.html#2

Which of these shoes are best for fat feet.
My friend can't find shoes for their 1 year old because her feet are just too chubby. They are OH so cute though & not montorously chubby just baby fat!
She even went to stride right & they don't carry the wide chunky widths??

I have heard Shoos are wider. Did you see the new Robeez styles on www.robeez.com? There's some cute ones! I love the cream frogs!

I've also heard that Shoos are a little wider. I actually have some Shoos that came today and they fit my chubby-footed baby very well. I haven't tried the Robeez yet though, so I can't compare.

My 9 month old also has wide feet. He was growing out of his Robeez in width before length. We now use "Sandoolz" by "Platypaws", although I think Buskins also carries them. They are a great fit for chubby baby feet. Good luck.

I don't know about Robeez, but I got Shoo Shoos because they had alot more selection in styles. So far they work great, though I may have gotten them a LOT too big, so he can pull them off of his feet. He doesn't pull them off for the most part though. Once he starts walking, I think I may need to get a smaller size so he doesn't trip over the toes. He wears them outside too.

The Sandoolz are what Buskins recommends for wide feet. I'm working on a co-op for Buskins if anyone is interested. http://mothering.com/discussions/sho...threadid=79143

eta: seems I already posted about the co-op! : :LOL
