So, where's your placenta?

Just found out the other day that mine is up top. That would explain why this baby is sooooo low . It was in front with ds and I can already see how this pregnancy is going to be different. So, I was just curious if others know where their placenta is and if they feel the position of their placenta is impacting their pregnancy.

Also, to Mindy22. I was thinking about you the other day when our midwife was telling us about the position of our placenta. I hope you're doing well.

My placenta is in front. I have only been able to feel the baby down low and very occassionally out front and on the side. I can feel the baby sitting down the most or laying down to sleep. Weird not feeling the baby as much as the other two but I feel it often enough for reassurance.

Hangin' low...

My placenta is down low. This is my first baby but I'm pretty sure she's more active than most. She's constantly kicking and moving around. Maybe I can feel it so much because the placenta, I'm not sure.

The only adverse issue I'm having with it is the lack of ability to be intimate with my husband. Until they see the placenta moving to where it should be, there will be no action in my camp :!

In the front, but still feel plenty of movement. Especially when junior decides to tap dance on my cervix

mine is at the top and on the front. I haven't associated it with where I feel her, in every ultrasound she's lying across the bottom, does a little dance, then lies down in the same spot, does a little dance....

Oh, yeah! I have totally felt this, as well as the baby moving around my blatter and rectum for real! I've just found it to be so incredible to feel this baby move so intensly.

With ds, I didn't feel him start to move until 22 weeks. And then it was just small flutters until I was almost 7 months. This little one has been active since 14 weeks. At first I thought I was just making up the feeling, that I couldn't possibly be feeling the baby this early, but with all those sensative areas .... it all makes sense now!

lilyblossom, I hope your placenta moves and you'll able to enjoy the rest of the pregnancy (as well as your husband )

Mine is on the left, sort of overlapping from top to front. I know because we heard it with the doppler on the left, and I don't feel any movement on that side except way down low. Right side is the fun kicking place, as is right above my pubic bone! Yay!

I knew I had an anterior placenta, I just knew it. And then today I had my 20 week U/S and they confirmed it. To me it wasn't a surprise at all, but DH's jaw dropped and he kept asking me how I had known. Meh... It wasn't all that hard to figure out, but let him think I'm psychic or something!

High anterior placenta--again. Was the same for my other two pregnancies. DD and this guy/girl just love tap dancing on my cervix...

NO clue.

Front and center In other words, pretty much everywhere I can poke with my fingers. I was incredibly relieved when they told me that's where it was - I could only ever feel him down low, and very fluttery. But he's a big strong boy, it's just that kicking through the equivalent of a steak is a bit much for now.

And I DO feel him down low every night, now.

Complete posterior previa here...but hoping it moves up!
Here's a little fact~ did you know that the placenta never attaches to the
same place twice?

Up top. Baby kicks soooo low all the time....I feel him constantly near the top of my bikini line.
