Do you have a Scooba? Tell me about it. Is it worth it? What can you use in it?

(Scooba = robot mopper, around $189 refurbished on Amazon).

I don't like Clorox and I would want to use something natural. I saw some people use vinegar; anything else?

My kitchen floor is driving me crazy, and I never can manage to get it mopped. (Okay, maybe three times a year.) Sometime in the next year or two we'll be putting our house on the market, and we plan to replace our living/dining area with a hard floor instead of carpet, as well as retile the kitchen floor, so I think it will come in extremely handy when we need to keep the house clean for showing.

I was thinking maybe, just maybe, I could justify it now. But it's a lot of money and I'm otherwise pretty frugal.

FWIW I have four kids and three cats and we homeschool so we're always messing the house up.

Do you think it's worth it? If you have one, have you had any issues with it?

Someone in my mom's group swore by it and said it "changed her life." SO DH took a look at it and bought one about a year ago. Our kitchen was relatively small, so it was pretty fast. IMO it worked OK++ But, if you hate the mop, it might be worth it.

It is sort of noisy and it got "stuck" a lot and it doesn't get corners. The battery ran dead & couldn't be recharged & DH hasn't dealt with it since we moved so I can't tell you how it does in a bigger space.

We used vinegar in it & it worked fine.
