Usually when she does somthing like this I present her with a whole days of web searches and print offs and she laughs and said you thought I was serious. I know I should stop believeing here, but thought I'd ask anyways.

HOW exactly would it be possible? Is there record of women who have gestated for 52 weeks? I'd love to read about that.

Um. In my extended (very extended) family network there is a story about a woman who was pg for a year - BUT she had polio and almost died. The story is that her body and the baby just kind of . . . went into limbo while she recovered from the polio and so the pg lasted a very very long time. Obviously, this is totally non-verifiable and from a long time ago (polio hasn't been common here for a looong time.) But FWIW!

I know this is an older thread, but wanted to pop in. Dr. Bradley specifically mentions in his book a momma that he had that went a full 12mths. She was having trouble conceiving and needed help for it so they are very sure of her conception date and that it wasn't a missed miscarriage. Baby was around 6 1/2lbs and she and mama were fine, though family members almost croaked. That's the only place I've heard of a super long pregnancy where mom and babe were healthy and happy.
