tell me about floride

not sure where to post theis but i need more infor on floride i know it is in our city water should i be concerned? what ar ethe pros and cons of floride?

It's been a while since I researched fluoride. I know that I feel ok with topical fluoride treatments, because I think they do have some benefits, especially where cavities are involved. In that case, imo the benefits outweigh the risks. I'm not talking about fluoride toothpaste, just the treatments that they give at dental offices, and fillings that have fluoride in them (that's the fillings my ds has).
But ingested fluoride I'm not comfortable with. Iirc, there there isn't much of a benefit to fluoride unless it sits on teeth, and ingested fluoride does have some risks. Luckily, I live in a city with un-fluoridated water.
Too much ingested fluoride can cause fluorosis, which is spots on the teeth. I know it doesn't sound like much, but if it has an effect on teeth, I have to imagine it is having some effect on other body parts too, kwim?

You should check out the book Flouride Deception. Youtube it is well. www.youtube.com Just search "flouride" or "flouride deception" and you'll get a whole bunch of informative video clips.

I refuse to use anything with flouride in it. We don't drink our cities water, though it doesn't containe flouride, but it does have other nasty toxins. We get our water from a natural well.

Topical flouride is great- saved me from some horrible tooth pain/sensitivity. But the injested is horrible.
