Anyone wanna be my accountability partner?

I've already gained 17 lbs so far and I know I'm eating waaaaaay too much junk. I can't diet, but I want to change my eating habits now before I gain 80lbs!!

So what I'm looking for is a buddy/friend/confidante to join me in the quest to eat better food!! Any one want to join me? I'm more than happy to have multiple buddies (I need all the help I can get!)

So glad I'm not alone! Its not the actual number on the scale that bothers me. Its just the knowledge that 95% of the weight gain is from cookies, cake, candy, soda, sugary sweets and what not.

Coincidentally my grandparents are looking at their last days so my family (we live with my parents) is taking care of them and we're having to prepare their meals. We're having to make low-sodium, low-fat, diabetic-friendly foods (which is not easy to do.) It helps me eat better because there will be less junk here for me to eat!

Aww

My grandparents are old and tired. I can't blame them for being ready to go. I will dearly miss them, but would never wish them to suffer longer just so I won't miss them yk?

At this point I need to start substituting veggies for sweets!

I've gained 14 so far, but the last 9 pounds was in a month! I feel like I am craving the worst foods/ sugar! My midwife talked to me about it b/c studies have shown an increase in L & D issues like C-sections & shoulder dystocia with women who gain too much.
We should have a daily (or weekly) post where we talk about what healthy choices we've made : )

I agree completely!! I'll start one if you'd like! We'll make it daily so that even if we have a bad day we can start fresh the next morning! What do we want to call ourselves?

If it makes you feel better, I've gained almost 20 pounds so far. I'm totally happy with it though and I've gained in all the right places.

i can totally understand. i gained so much weight with my last pregnancy. i started at a much lower weight this time and have been doing pretty well eating healthy. i am vegan now, too which helps me feel tremendously healthier. i was almost vegetarian with my last preggo but i did eat tuna until dd was born. then, i was veg for a year then vegan.

maybe we could start a weekly "what are you eating" thread? or "how is your healthy life" thread so it's not just about food but the bigger picture, too? you are not the only mama that could benefit from such a thread, i am sure. i could use the help curbing my sweet tooth!

Definitely not knocking it, but if I gain 80 lbs I'll be in the 300s and I had enough trouble trying to lose the 32 lbs I gained with DS!!
