I don't have any of the colors listed, but my two favorite colors (that took FOREVER to find) are from Loreal and Burt's Bees. I think I will keep them.
: It took so long to find a shade that was right. I am not putting it on my kids, and I am done having babies. We threw out our whole sunscreen supply this summer and went on the hunt for "safe" stuff...I just can't do it again.

Last time I checked you don't rub the paintings in your house on your lips and probably ingest them. There *are* plants out there that can be used as similar colorants that would not have lead in them.

I was trying to find a safer (paraben-free) lipstick even before this study came out. I am about to give up because all the natural lipsticks I've tried are either too cakey or frosty/shimmery. (I am not young enough to wear frosts or shimmers.) I loved Burt's Bees lipstick, but they've discontinued it. The BB shimmers are, well, shimmery, and don't have quite enough color for me.

It's very tough to buy lipstick online. The colors on the monitor never look the way they do IRL, and the photos are often misleading in terms of the amount of frost/shimmer. Not all companies sell samples of lipstick.

I may be going back to the Clinique counter. :

I use Arbonne, their products are safe and environmentally friendly. I became a rep so I could order my own stuff.
