I wish that would happen. My bag of waters is bulging through 4 lovely, open centimeters, and every night when I get up to pee and am contracting I give a nice, yet soft, push while silently chanting, "Please break. Please break. Please break."

Nothing.

I WANT TO JOIN THE CLUB!!!

I have been having some crampiness here and there over the past week, but no serious ctx. Nothing that has a beginning, middle and end, just vague crampiness - mostly at night when I'm trying to sleep-Arghhhh. I had some bloody show last night and this morning which got my midwives really excited, but other than that, nada. I'm glad to know I'm in good company.

I guess I'm here in prodromal labor land as well.
I have been having little BH for weeks now but last night I really thought I was going to have the baby.
Pressure waves were 4-7 min apart during Desperate Housewives and then I decided to try and get some rest. After I layed down things started getting strong but not closer together. Then around 2am I had to get up and get in the shower because the crampiness started wrapping around to my back and down my legs. After the shower I went back to bed and things slowed down and by 4:30 everything stopped.
I've been having sporadic waves here and there all day and now it seems they are picking up again. I'm fully expecting another night like last night but I really, really hope I'm wrong!

joining the pdoromal labor club.

Ive been contracting since 7:45 last night, have gotten them 4-7 minutes apart, and 45 seconds to 1 minute 15 in duration. But never establishing a pattern, and able to talk through almost all of them. Figure they arent even dilating me. But I'll take it, its action in my uterus, you know? At 41 weeks 1 day I will take what I can get!

And the fun keeps coming. The cramping has increased with contractions in between but still not progress or baby. I am grumpy and very uncomfortable. I slept horribly so I asked dh to stay home awhile to let me rest for a bit.

I got more sleep last night than I did the night before. Still had pressure waves last night and they have stopped again for now. I'm tired.

I'm trying to be excited about effacing. Effacing doesn't have the dramatic appeal that dilating does, but it has to get done. And maybe if it is done early it will lessen the chances of dealing with an anterior lip? I haven't had anymore patterned stuff, just random crampiness - but not disrupting my sleep. ((hugs)) everybody!

what a tease!

The day before yesterday I woke up full of P&V, and finally felt some of that nesting thing goin' on.

So, after dropping DH off at school, I took the Liblet to the drop-in play/care place so she could get some kiddo time in (she goes one afternoon a week so I can work, and loves it) and came back home to tackle the house a bit.

House, work.....

... contractions!

More than the typical BH contractions, that's for sure.

By the time I picked up Lib and met a girlfriend at Lowe's, they were at the point of needing to pause-and-relax when they came on.

Back home, where my friend took some belly pics of me.

Then she went home, and I was planning on making a quick run to the store and then maybe heading out for a bit. Yeah, I'm a weirdo, wanting to go OUT while possibly in labor, but I was so antsy.

Well, the store took forever, and I was pretty sure that things were still moving along accordingly.

So, when I got back, I opted out of further trips out of the house, and decided to actually time the contractions a bit.

30-45 seconds long, about 5 min apart. I timed for about an hour. Yeah, ok... sounds good.

I called my midwife, and left a message saying I was going to try to sleep and I would call her if anything changed. She called back and told me she was at a birth in Georgetown, but that one of her backups could come by shortly and be with me until she got there if needed.

I declined and decided to stick with my original plan of snoozing.

Which turns out to be good, as by the second time I got up to pee, things had slowed down to basically nothing.

7am the next morning, I'm up and moving, but no contractions of note.

I took DD to a playnasium yesterday and ran around with her for about 4 hours there, went to three different stores, and then went out for Indian food. Other than some weird groin spasms, nothing much. :

I started taking EPO night before last too, and I started the Raspberry Leaf tea yesterday. I still don't know if I'm really ready yet for the baby to be here, but I don't want to go through (or put DH through) too much of this sort of prodromal labor.

I know I'm not actually DUE until Tuesday, so I don't really want to push anything along. I was totally OK with waiting until whenever until I had this little 'teaser' evening. Now I keep waffling back and forth. hrmf.
