Nursing Mommas - milk supply crashing - thoughts? - Page 2

My daughter (14 months) who is normally the happiest baby in the world has been a screaming clingy terror the last two days. I wonder if maybe something is up with my milk supply. I'm going to brew up some mother's milk tea tonight and eat oatmeal for breakfast in the morning. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

I am having an increase in supply... more than DS will take. He is only interested at bedtime and in the middle of the night now. The thought of dragging out my pump again makes me cringe so I'm hoping it will taper off soon!! Funny how each mama's body reacts so different.

My supply is dipping also, but I am not unhappy about this.

DS is nearly 17 months, so I think it will be a good opportunity to wean him over the next month or so. I really hate nursing while pg. I nursed 6 months into my last pg, and am looking forward to a break this time before the little one arrives.

I have been eating oatmeal daily and it seems to be helping!

Could it just be that maybe the taste or consistency has changed? I've heard that's common and that may be the reason he's a bit upset with the breast.

I have no idea if my supply is up or not, but I'm still producing milk. My babe was very upset for a 3 day bout, wouldn't sleep and was very disheveled. Crying, screaming, frustrated. But after that, she's been fine. She just doesn't nurse as long. She still nurses to go to sleep or wakes up in the night to nurse, but only needs it for a few minutes before dozing back off. That's huge and I'm getting better sleep, finally.
