Do you Cover up when NIP? - Page 2

When I lift my shirt I don't use anything.

When I lower my shirt (exposing my whole breast) sometimes I use the small 12X12 lovey DD likes to hold/chew on but it's for my comfort not anybody elses But I never cover DD just part of my breast that is on display.

Nope. Don't know the meaning of the word.

I did until she was about two months old... then it just got too difficult with DD thrashing around underneath. Clearly, she didn't like it! So, I ditched the cover and never looked back. It's been liberating!

Never.

no...I used to with ds1 but it drew MORE attention than not. with ds1 everyone knew when he was nursing...with ds2 everyone had to be TOLD when he was nursing. and that's without covering!

When DD was tiny (couple of weeks/months old?) I would use a blanket to cover my stomach but not my breasts!

After a while I ditched the blanket an NIP without any cover. Still do occasionally at 26 months

No way!

I never have. I always arranaged my clothing to show as little skin as possible, wore nursing dresses a lot, and I've used my sling to further cover myself up, but I've never used a blanket or "nursing cape" when NIP.

Only a few times in the beginning until we got a hang of it. I don't now but do make sure I can lift my shirt to nurse and usually pull down my top until it just touches her mouth. I have never felt I have ever gotten any wierd looks.

Nope, never have.

I do. The idea of someone seeing all that fat white skin on my sides makes me nauseous. I am sure they see parts of my boobs (they are bigger than my 13 month old's head), but that doesn't bother me. I cover cause of my sides.

It depends on what I'm wearing, where I am, who I'm with... How the baby is acting. There are so many variables. I'm not very good at having the blanket on, and the kid will only leave it alone if he's tired It's cool either way, as long as you're getting the job done.

Yeah I can understand that. I still haven't embraced my PP body. I was tiny before and have never had weight issues ( and still don't). But I do have belly flap issues I bought a couple of these Belly Huggers when I was pregnant to be able to wear my old pants unbuttoned with one of these around my waist. Now I usually wear one under my shirt so my tummy isn't hanging out.

I was just curious b/c this past weekend we went to our first college football game since babe has blessed us with his presence. And I had no issues with NIP amonst the 70,000 folks there tailgating in the Grove. However, I did get lots of looks and the only comment I got was from a pregnant lady. She says " I just don't think I could do that, I mean, that is what bottles are for"
I said,"well, I just don't think it is that big of deal to feed my child"

Nothing to cover!

Unless of course we are somewhere a bit chilly, than I do use a blanket to cover LO and snuggle up.

I never even noticed a woman nursing before I started nursing. Then I started seeing them everywhere!

Are you sure people are looking at you and you arent just self concious?

Its hard to tell when someone is nursing.

My ds wouldnt nurse in public much because he was too stimulated by everything else.

nope, but I would rather avoid my tummy hanging out when nursing in the sling.

I wonder what Marian Thompson is thinking right now of all her hard work. Breastfeeding rates are DROPPING.

I'll gladly pull out my boob in support of the movment. I dont want to turn any more people off than already are though.
