I was wondering if you use videos about breastfeeding with the families you serve (either borrowing or watching together) and which you feel are the very best...?
I want to add some to my lending library and be able to give recommendations, but the ones I've rented and seen so far are just not thrilling me. They seem old fashioned and I haven't heard much about asymetric latch - only one of the videos I got even mentioned it, but I didn't think it did a very good job showing or explaining.
Also, I'd prefer a completely natural look at breastfeeding, rather than a "supplementation is great" side note. One I saw even promoted pumping and supplementing at night so mom could sleep all night (as the norm) and I just can't beleive that is best for mom OR baby.
I have plenty of instructional materials for moms who need to supplement or who are going back to work, and how to make it all find some harmony. I just want one that is totally crunchy and intellectual too - to appeal to my moms who just need that direction of encouragement.
Maybe I'm asking the impossible. lol
Thanks,
Chris Anne
