Hellooooo due date!

Here it is...the day I have been holding on to all year long. Today is my due date. And of course, no baby! I think that medical professionals should stop using the term "due date" and instead use "guess date". I know they put the word "Estimated" in there, but really, who pays attention to that? LOL!

So anyway, as of last appt on Friday, I was still about 2 cm dialated on the inside and 3 on the outside and -1 station. 60% effaced. I have been reguarly checking my cervix (for the past month or so) and today I noticed that baby's head is right there...all I have to do is insert two fingers and I can feel the head. I dont even have to try. So Im thinking that I am at least at 0 station now, and hopefully dialated 3 all the way through. My next appt is Thursday, and they will do a NST, and then I have to start 2x a week appts since I would be "overdue".

How are my other overdue mamas doing? Hanging in there?

My EDD has come and gone too. It was Saturday the 13th. I promised myself I wasn't going to dwell on that date, but it is so hard to be patient and keep your mind off of every little twinge that might be a sign of labor. I will start NSTs as well if he hasn't shown up by Saturday. The good part is that I am not nearly as miserable as I was at this point in my first pregnancy. I feel great and have been able to stay really active. I hope things get moving for us soon though!

My last edd was yesterday. I've had 1 contraction whilee taking a nap Saturday afternoon. I keep telling myself to be patient but that's not really working. I could barly walk yesterday b/c feet are swollen. I have one pair of shoes flip flops that fit

My "EDD" is tomorrow. I was only dilated to a fingertip last week, and softening (cervix was still posterior though). He did say the baby was in good position and coming down. I am feeling a lot of pressure down there so I hope he is getting lower. I don't see anyone until Wed, so who knows.

I don't expect anything to happen in the next couple of days. DH said "you body really knows how to hold a baby in there!" great news, really.
