After many many emails and at least 3 phone calls, I finally had success this morning signing up for the Scholastic Book Clubs as a homeschooler. As someone mentioned in an earlier thread, having a name for your homeschool is key. One other thing I found helpful was telling them that I was part of a homeschool group and would be offering them to the rest of the group. Their book forms come in packages of 25 minimum. At other times I only asked for about 5 of each form and I really think that affected the outcome of the call.
Anyhow, I do plan on offering these to my smaller homeschool group. and our playgroup. After the initial order you can use their website to customize a page for your group and choose which forms you want to appear. The downside of this is that everything still get shipped to you do distribute, but to me it's worth the discounts and perks of hosting it.
Anyhow, just wanted to offer those few tips. Calling is key and they do give you special instructions on how to complete the sign-up process before you are allowed to do it online.
