I am here. Dahlia will be 6 weeks on thurs. I can't believe how quickly the time has passed. She is getting quite big and I think has even broken 8 pounds now. She is out of premie clothes and into newborn clothes finally. She has been giving me lots of smiles and is really holding her head up nicely. I have been catching some pees and poops in the potty and that is super exciting. She is a good sleeper for the most part but does have days where all she does is nurse. She has a fussy time in the late evening but it isn't bad at all. She is definitely not high needs. I am starting to get a routine and rhythm down and it doesn't feel so ovewhelming to be here alone with both little ones. My mom and my best friend are both coming on thursday to meet her for the first time. I am really looking forward to seeing my friend as we haven't seen each other for 18 months. Life is getting really busy again and time is just flying. I need to get going on halloween costumes. I hope you all are doing well.

Hello everybody!

Finally got the little one down for the night, he's a fighter when it comes to falling asleep, I think he feels like he's going to miss something. He has his fussy time typically from 5 until he falls asleep between 7-9. Liam is 5 weeks old today, on sunday he gave me a big surprise by rolling over twice from his tummy, I was able to catch a picture of it right after he did it:

I posted on the other side thread of our DDC, but we got great news about Andrew's job situation. He was offered a job with the national guard as a recruiter here in the town we live, and he'll make 2nd LT pay as well as a housing allowance every month. He'll have to reapply in September but will also have the opportunity to go to officer school and get a seat as an active duty officer if one is available. I'm starting the new house search tomorrow, hopefully if I'm lucky I can find one by the end of the week.

Wendi - Enjoy your visit with your mom and best friend on Thursday!

Cian is a little over 3 weeks now, and things are starting to settle. Not that they were ever that bad, but it definitely takes some getting used to when adding a second kid with an active toddler

He was 2 lbs over his birth weight by his 2 weeks check and is still going strong.

Oops, I hear him calling....will post more later

our little roisin is not so little any more! she will be six weeks tomorrow, and is a whopping 11 pounds 2 ounces! that's up from her birth weight of 7 pounds, 9 ounces! crazy talk! she's outgrown all of her newborn clothes and is now in 3 to 6 months.

i can't believe how the time is going by. i start work again tomorrow, but luckily, i work from home. i only go in on saturdays, and there will be a few visits from dh and dd!

Hi ladies!

Townsyn is now 9 days old. He is a super mellow baby who loves to sleep (finally I understand what "sleeping like a baby" means ).

My milk was in the transitional phase for quite a while and gave me a bit of a scare. Both of my other children had yellow poops by day 3 and Townsyn didn't get there until day 6. It was quite baffling for me, as I work with bf women every day and have been lactating for about 4.5 years (except ds2 didn't nurse for the last month of pregnancy). All is well now, and he is about 8 ounces over his birth weight and pooping and peeing all day long!

I am a bit emotional. It's definitely not something I've experienced before. One minute I'm in mushy newborn heaven and the next moment I'm telling poor dh that I am all alone in the world and crying hysterically. I'm wondering if I'm feeling this way this time because my body actually went in to labor without the use of synthetic hormones?

Other than that I'm feeling pretty good for a little over a week postpartum. I am supposed to go back to work for a Mommy & Me support group tomorrow but I get to bring Towns with me. I'm trying to get it covered though...would like a little longer babymoon.

Hope everyone is well and loving their little ones. :

HELLO everyone!!!

My little Kaitlyn will be seven weeks on Wed!!! I am so in love with her! I am enjoying every second! She is a really wonderful baby! She sleeps and nurses so well! She is also awake more and more these days, giving us a chance to see her little personality.

I can't beleive that time is going so fast... it seems like just yesterday that I was trying to conceive... and now I am holding my little one in my arms! Although.... some of those pregnancy days seemed like they were going to last forever Now my identical twin sister is trying to conceive number three for her.... I am so excited to get to go through the process with her now that I have just ended my 'pregnancy journey'.

I hope everyone and your little loves are doing well!!

Wow, rolling over already!! I can't imagine Aili rolling over yet. She has always had a good strong neck and can hold up her head really well, and kind of shimmies to the side, but to fully roll over . . . well, I'm not ready for that yet.

She naps really soundly during the day, but likes to party from 10pm-2am, so I should get to her now. Good to see others doing well. Look forward to hearing how everyone else is doing.

Hi Everyone,

I lurked the last couple of months in the Sept. expecting forum, but didn't say much

Kavya is 32 days old today - still counting the days over here! She's been fighting going to sleep lately. Last week her tummy hurt so she was screaming almost all the time. But this week her tummy seems better, she just gets fussy when she's tired but doesn't want to sleep. She was 7 lbs 9 ounces at her 4 week checkup - so she's gained quite nicely from her birth weight of 5 lbs 15 oz. She's still such a tiny thing - we have trouble finding newborn clothes that fit, tho she's outgrown the premie outfits now.

I'm here

Cohen is now 2 weeks old as of yesterday, nursing is a huge struggle again this time (once out of seven WOULD have been nice ) ...we finaly got our latch issues worked out, but it never ceases to amaze me how not producing enough milk makes me feel...about breast feeding or being a mom in general *sigh*. I'm trying reeeeally hard not to quit right now, it's bothering me that much. Owell.

Cohen is growing like a weed though

He holds his head up, he smilles all the time, he has since the day he was born, especially when he is nursing, if I stroke his cheek he grins REALLY big *lol* it's soo sweet!

He is IN 3/6 months clothing this week...but won't be in another week or two, he is probably close to the 11 lb mark by now, but he is so long, that the 6 months clothes fit althoughs till a tiny big baggy.

People ask me how old he is and they can't believe he is only 2 weeks old

We are here and growing. My oldest turned 11 yesterday but it doesn't seem so long ago that he was the one outgrowing clothes left and right.

3/6 month clothes are generally too short but plenty big. I have little idea on length but he is just over 12 lb I think. Aren't the smiles sweet?

Two in diapers is killing me. I have done it before but this time my toddler is a crazy (often naked) one that I forget to change. (I think is her stinky poop as compared to his that bothers me so much. )

doulamom7, keep at it! You are working hard and know what you are up against. Use your experience to guide you through this trying time. (that's my attempt at cheerleading and encouragement while exhausted)

Hi mama's..

Gavin is 7wks today, and prob about 10lbs. He's such a sweet boy.. I've found that I'm not producing enough, and I think that is why he screams. I physically can't eat enough to produce enough, so he's been getting a few ounces of formula here and there (at least it's organic).. I'm actually not too overly devastated about it, because I keep telling myself, I conceived him, brought him into the world despite all odds, and I have so many strikes against me w/ my health

I've gone to the acupunturist 2x already, and were not seeing improvements. They actually want me to seen an orthopedist (my appt is tomorrow), and I'll probably have an MRI, and then referred to a neurologist, as I think I have some nerve damage. The pain is so bad, that I can't sling, or hold the baby in my left arm, and nursing is difficult, I also can't co-sleep, so dh sleeps w/ the baby.. **and they sleep great together, Gavin only wakes 1-2x a night, but it would be nice if I could sleep thru the pain.. I actually have decreased sensation on my left side, from my ear, to my neck, and down my shoulder.. I've also noticed that I'm losing fine motor skills, and have a hard time doing dishes or putting on diapers.

but I gotta go, I can't write any more w/o crying.. great to hear about your updates!!

to you, Mighty Mama! That sounds sooo rough. I hope you get some relief SOON.

Sean is 7 weeks old and our biggest challange right now is the car. He screams bloody murder whenever we go somewhere. Makes me insane because I can't do anything about it! We limit our trips, but there are times when we have to go someplace. Hunter and Grace hated the car, too. How did I end up with 3 babies who dislike the car so much??

Sean slept from 10pm to 2:45am last night, which I think is the longest he's slept at night so far. He starts off the night in the cosleeper, then comes into bed with us when he wakes up the first time. I love snuggling with my little monkey!

He's generally a very happy little man and we feel sooo blessed to have him.

doulamom~keep up the great work. I am sorry it is such a struggle to nurse. Your determination is inspiring.

Mighty-mama~It really sucks that the acupuncture isn't helping. I hope you can find some answers and pain relief soon. I am glad you aren't stressing about the formula. You have been through so much and overcome such odds. Hang in there!
