What is it with this pregnancy and the scare tactics...yikes? I assume Jacob is going to be my little trouble maker. Went for my biophysical profile and NST today. Waiting for Dr. at the end to go over things and he comes in and says "Maureen I just want to take a quick look at something myself". Of course, my heart stopped for a minute and I asked the u/s tech if he saw something from when she did her u/s. She said "Oh don't worry". Right....! Dr. comes in and I said "are you looking for something specific?" He said, "there is a picture of the heart that looks enlarged and I need to make sure it was just the angle that she took it." Well, for the next few minutes, I couldn't breathe thinking it was hydrops (exactly what they had been concerned would develop from the Coxsackie infection). Turns out it WAS just the angle and he said everything "looks great" and baby gets 8/8 on the test. He then gave me a big hug and said that he was releasing me for delivery on Thursday morning and agreed that I don't require the amnio (DID NOT want it). So, hopefully G*D willing and with lots of prayers Jacob will be born healthy on Thursday.
