Today was my 40 week appointment and my midwife said there were lots of changes to my cervix! (I went into the appointment with the expectation that nothing had changed, so I think my body was like, "WOO HOO! Lowered expectations! I can't fail!" 
) She said I was about 2 cm dilated, still 50% effaced, but baby's head had dropped to -1 station and my cervix was really soft. I agreed to her stirring up the membranes, and she said that while the fingers didn't come out tinged with blood, things were progressing, so it's given me some hope! I plan on making a few diapers tonight, I'm trying to make plans for a few more trades for dipes, so hopefully this will make baby say, "Hey, mom, you shouldn't be planning stuff, I'm coming!"
