my "wisdom teeth' last words....

i'm having my final three wisdom teeth removed in the morning:: and am breastfeeding so tylenol and arnica...and some other remedy from my co-op are all i can take....i'm a wee bit whole lotta freaked out!! any advice.last words, and soothing comments???:

When my oldest was about four months old, I had a root canal re-done. I did make sure they knew I was nursing, and I am pretty certain they gave me a prescription for Vicodin. To be honest I think I only took it once or twice, when I really needed to, since I don't like being "drugged".

I think the arnica would be a great thing for you to take. Tylenol would probably help, but I would check to make sure you can take Advil if necessary. I very rarely take painkillers, but I have taken Advil before (notably for afterpains after giving birth, and for menstrual cramps while I was nursing a toddler) and it is my understanding that it is safe for nursing moms to take in moderation. So if you would be interested in taking Advil, you could ask around and confirm that.

There shouldn't be any reason not to take advil (ibuprofen) and I hear it's MUCH better for that kind of pain than tylenol.

Awe, it'll be okay!!! I've had mine out, hub has had his out, everyone on both sides of our family and everyone I know has had them out. Not saying a person should necessarily have them out, but of all of us, no one has had any problems. I'm taking ibuprophren right now for tooth pain and I'm breastfeeding. I'd review the kellymom website for medications, of course.

okay, i made it through it alive! my mouth feels like a sledgehammer was taken to it...three times. the top two came out relatively easy compared to the bottom...which broke in half and he said he took part of the bone....wth??? it feels like it! my mouth is still bleeding and i've done the tea bag thing to stop it...when does that end?? i can't remember.i'm absolutely starving! i had some yummy butternut squash soup..whish i would have bought more....and now am trying to down yogurt. i took a nice nap with my babe and woke up throbbing with pain! i took ibuprofen...forgot everything else and he gave me a script for vicodin...which i was worried about until i checked out the kellymom website...thank you!!...i took 1/2 a pill....it takes the edge off, but still throbs! i want to take the arnica also,but can i mix them? i also have another homeopathic pill to take as a backup..can't recall what it is right off...thanks for all the nice words!
