So my edd was yesterday. I've only had 1 bh this entire pregnancy. Saturday while I was napping. I wasn't worried until one of my bf's said she was worried and she's never heard of anyone not habing bh's. Please tell me I'm normal. This is normal right? I've had no other signs either.

Oh PLEASE! Well intentioned friends...may they be d#$%ed!
No seriously, your fine. You are most likely having them, and not realizing it, which is VERY common. I didn't think I was having any my whole pregnancy with dd until I was having a stupid NST at the hospital at 41+ weeks. The L&D nurse looking at the strip said to me, "you're having lots of braxton-hicks, you're having one right now." When she saw the funny look on my face she put my hand on my fundus and low and behold I could feel the elusive tightening! After I knew what I was looking for I could feel more of them. This time I felt them way in the begining of my pregnancy, since again, I knew what I was looking for this time. You feel movement sooner too in subsequent pregnancies.
But I digress...you're fine.

You probably had them but since they are not painful you might have just not noticed them. Or you really didn't have them. Anyhoo, what's a statement like that supposed to say? That you are unable to give birth because you haven't had any BH? SURE!
Don't worry, mama, I had maybe one with ds1 and cannot remember any with ds2.
When are people gonna learn that it is VERY easy to freak out a pregnant woman and to just nod and shut up? Seriously the only person who is allowed to make any comments right now is my midwife. even dh knows this by now, and he looooves giving advise

I also did not realize with dd1 that I was having bh.... thought i was having heart palpatations
because my heartrate would noticeably increase now and then for no obvious reason (read: I was having a bh at the time). Anyway, with dd2 I realized that the heart racing feeling was associated with a hard tummy and figured out that OH, that is a bh!! Not implying that you are as clueless as I was at the time but just sharing to point out that it is easy to miss them if you don't know what you are looking for. I have never read anywhere that the absence of bh is an indication of possible problems with going into labor or delivering a baby.... i am sure you are fine, mama.
peace
