Can I get a Chick pox vaccine while breastfeeding?

I have never had CP and survived my pregnancy with my daughter. I have not gotten it yet because we're bf (10 months and no signs of letting up) however since the my time is quickly running out for getting pregos again I wanted to find out about getting the vaccine.

So, my question is does anyone know if I can get the vaccine while still bf'ing?

I would not either. Knowing what I know now, I would not get ANY vaccine while pregnant or BF'ing. I did get the flu shot in my first tri and regretted it.

Have you had your titers checked to see if you are already immune to cp? Many never show a rash but have immunity to it.

No way would I get cp vax bfing or not.

My son-in-law needed the vax for med school and just for the heck of it got his titres tested and guess what? Even though he had never been exposed, he had immunity.

But then - I don't put much faith in titres either.

Isnt it nearly impossible to go through life without being exposed to cp at least once? I know back when I was young cp made the rounds every year. Even now cp makes the rounds here every year. Even with the cp vax.

My dh and his sister never got cp. Sil caught them a few years back shortly after her dd got the cp vax. They had been exposed many times when they were young to cp via cousins and school but never got them. Dh still has never had cp I figured he was one of the ones who was immune withough breaking out but I cant help but wonder if he will get them when the kids do.
