Surprise Surprise.. whooping cough and vaccinated baby.

I float to different forums on occasion and came across one post that said my 7 month old has pertussis. The first question asked was "did he have the vaccine?" (This is a very pro-vax forum IMO) Anyway she said yes he had all 3 shots and justified that the reason he got it is because the doctor said there has been a big outbreak in their area. Why oh why are people still nodding their head and saying oh okay that must be a fluke?
Then they went onto say that she got it because she isn't fully vax yet since the last 2 shots come later in life... argh...

I hear ya! My very former Pedi said the first shot does absolutely nothing, the second one has about 20% "immunity", the third one is about 50% and the last one will then give 100% "immunity"!!!!! : :

Oh my word is all I have to say about this! I have to say that I think it is hilarious how dr's just have every answer in the book to defend most things that don't make a bit of sense!

My niece who is 9 years old got whooping cough when she was 8 from a friend of hers and just to add my niece is fully vaccinated and she still got it. Now my two kiddos who are not at all vaccinated were around my niece when she had the cough and they did not get it at all or any signs of it.
