In laminator heaven!!

My laminator came today and since my 400 pack of laminator sheets came yesterday I am in laminator heaven LOL! I have been cutting stuff all week getting it ready for this day so as soon as nap time comes watch out :P I convinced DH that buying a machine was cost effective because I kept paying $15-20 at Staples every time I went in to laminate stuff so the cost of the machine will pay for itself pretty quick around here <snort>

I must say I am really impressed with the lamination sheets so far...I got 400 for the price of 100 at staples (including the shipping) and I was worried that they wouldn't be good enough (I figured there had to be some reason for the HUGE price difference LOL!....but I guess not (at least I can't see a difference!)

Best of all I bought from companies in Canada so no yucky "brokerage charges" for me (all the American companies wanted to ship UPS and if you are Canadian you know what that means.....)

....going to bask in the glow of the laminator LOL! So give me some ideas to keep me busy

file folders! file folders! file folders!!

that what i use my laminating machine for mostly - as well as bingo cards! i have bingo cards for math, phonics (with letters, sight words, etc.). i also have themed bingo cards, such as autumn picture bingo (which is great for pre-readers!). i made all of my bingo cards printed in color. then i taped them on construction paper to give sturdiness and a colorful border & then i laminate them - we love them! for file folder games - my favorite place is http://www.childcareland.com/free.html

i also enjoy teacher websites. they use laminating machines a lot to create games for their centers and they often have pictures of the things they make. i love it! my laminating machine was $25 from abc distributing and included laminating paper to get me started - i've got my money's worth definitely!!

i love laminating!

what laminator did you get?

I think I am going to have to break down and get one! I have a big stack of things I want laminated but don't because of the $$. It would probably save so much money in the long run.

This one. I checked the history and they rarely go for more than the minimum bid so I just put in the minimum (well I think I said $70) and I got it for $62...the shipping is high but at that price I could justify it KWIM? And I must say I am impressed with the shipping from both companies. My echeck's cleared on Friday and I got the pouches yesterday and the laminator today. Granted both companies were in Ontario but I am still impressed

How do you laminate file folders with the pouch machines? Do you put two pouches on, one on each section, maybe?
