Do you know of any blue dolls?

DD desperately wants a blue doll. Said doll should have blue hair, blue toes, and a blue dress (or clothes). Do you know of any such doll? I'd like for it to be a gift from Santa. Oh, and $30 or under if possible.

So far, I this is the closest that I've found. I tried for a Rainbow Bright Blue Buddy but apparently they are in hot demand on ebay right now.

My husband wants to buy this doll and this head and make them into a single doll but I think that sounds really ugly! (and I'm not sure it'd ever get done!)

Anyone know of anything?

TIA!

I was going to suggest the Corole doll that you've already seen. I don't know of any other blue dolls. Good luck!

Are we talking about an all cloth doll or plastic face, hands, and feet? Either can be dyed but the cloth, if you want to wash it again, is a BIG pain because it can bleed onto anything else in your washer. The other variety, one that will only be wiped off or spot cleaned...yep, dye it in a tub of blue water with whatever dye you are comfy with, wring out as much water as you can, wrap in a towel to absorb more water, then hang to dry. Why, you ask, do I know this...my cousin wanted a black doll-not African American...black. It turned out dark gray but it was close enough. Buy something cheap and give it a try.

Why not try posting on the MDC board WAHM Well? I don't frequent that forum, but I'll bet there are moms there who have the talent to make a doll just the way you like.

Just a thought..

I love this one.

Whoops- missed this part: Please note that Raya is a handmade art doll for display purposes and is not reccomended for use as a childrens' toy, especially unsuitable for very small children under the age of 6 years.

But I definitely recommend Etsy in general as a PP noted. Many of the artists are able and willing to handcraft items to your specification and the prices are usually very reasonable.

I believe there is a Barbie Fairytopia doll that is blue.

Good luck in your search!

A Fairytopia Barbie is a good idea. There are a few that might work, but they are fairy dolls so they have wings. You can see some here.

Another possibility is a Strawberry Shortcake character doll. There is Winter Berry Twist and Blueberry Muffin.

Here are some more Strawberry Shortcake character dolls with blue hair:

Blueberry Muffin2
Frost Puff
Blueberry Muffin 3

Good luck, and let us know what you end up getting!

How about Smurfette?

Or try to find a doll maker (I'm thinking WAHM type) to make you a "regular person doll" with blue fabric instead of skin tones?

There's this cat:

Maybe you could sew some blue yarn hair on?

I got a really nice rainbow kid blue doll for my dd from Kathe Kruse. It was smaller, 7in, and around $20. She didnt have blue toes, but you could make or buy felt shoes, and she didnt have a blue dress, but again, I'm sure you could easily find one/make one. But her hair was beautiful blue yarn with rainbow touches, and evey doll stands for something; blue was clarity. (The rainbow kids are every color of the rainbow.)
And she was so much sweeter than something plastic.

I also strongly recommend etsy. I can get lost looking at all the gorgeos handmade dolls there!
