Balls in the dryer?

I use tennis balls when I use my dryer for my down comforters.

Would keeping tennis balls in the dryer help dry clothes quicker? I don't use the dryer too often but when I do I'd like to make the most of it.

I don't know about tennis balls, but I know that throwing a clean dry towel (preferably one of the fluffier ones) in with the wet clothes helps them dry more quickly.

(We have to use apt. dryers, and it used to take a round and a half to get a full load dry...since I found out about that trick, one round is all it takes)

Quicker Drying

I second the dry towel added in with the wet clothes. I designate an older towel that I don't like any more as the 'dryer towel'. From then on it goes in with every load until it just plain wears out, then I find a new one. This really helps.

I also recently received a set of those plastic spiked balls that you toss in too. I think they help keep items from twisting together, so I now use the towel and the balls. The clothes dry more quickly and don't bunch together any more.

Funny....I just bought a down comforter and was reading the care instruction, they suggested tennis balls in the dryer. I thought it may be to help fluff it up....I'd never heard of such a thing.

I think it would help, same concept as the Dryer Balls (which I use). They also make my clothes and especially dd's diapers really soft without chemicals.
