My 19 month old DS has a dark patch under his tongue, what could it be? I'm freaking out! I haven't got a good look at it, only a glimpse....looks to be about 2/3 rds the size of a pencil eraser, or a little smaller.... Needless to say he won't let me look under his tongue and I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of.. Of course now I'm looking up horrible symptoms, sweating bullets! Could it be a blood blister? Anyone at all heard of this, I can't find any info? Any help would be a godsend...TIA

It absolutely could be a blood blister. Kids are bumping their mouths all the time. If his tongue was stuck out and he bumped it, he could have bruised under his tongue with his teeth, a toy, a table etc...
My DD had a blood blister on the inside of her lip from chewing on a toy and stabbing herself. It just reabsorbed and she was fine.
