daily warm fuzzy - 17 oct 07

the other day i was having a frustrated moment, trying to figure out how to nurse in a wrap, so i hurriedly hoofed it over to the nearest place i could find to sit down. as i latched my baby on i noticed i was smack dab in the middle of a group of community service workers who were half-heartedly raking boston's leaves for some slight infridgement or another, and were about to file past me with not alot of room. not a big deal, i've nursed everywhere, but i was worried there might be a few looks, since all these guys weren't where they wanted to be at that moment, and as i said i was a bit frustrated myself. the lead guy walks over with a smile to see the baby but then says, in his wonderful boston accent:
him: "feedin'?"
me: "yup."
him: "good thing ya not on a aie-plane!"
me: "no kidding!"
him: "it's crazy - thars paawn everywhare, but a muther goes to feed her child and everybody goes nuts."
me: "no kidding!"

totally made my day.

How sweet!

Just so you know, I had to read that about 5 times before I figured out that "paawn" meant "porn"- I couldn't figure out what a chess piece had to do with nursing!

Ahhhhh, thank you for the translation. I didn't have a clue.
I especially love it when men make positive comments.

LOL me too!

I kept saying it to myself out loud.. drawing it out like that haha. It finally clicked and of course, then I thought, "DUH"!

I love this story

I have to say, though.. I've yet to notice a woman NIP. And I've actually been LOOKING for them when we're out and about. I have no idea why I want to see it so badly.. I just do! I want to give the mama a big smile to let her know that I support her 100%. Is that weird?
