I feel like I'm going to start my period...

Do other ladies have particular "feeling" when they are going to start their periods? I get a feeling in my uterus that makes me want to wear protection - usually I start within a day of that feeling. I'm having that right now - is that a good sign? I've never gone into labor completely on my own, so I'm kind of like a first timer on that. Is this a good sign or just wishful thinking?

From what people tell me that is what going into labor feels like. To me in felt like a donkey kicked me in my back.. over.. and over.. and over. lol stupid donkey!

Is it that watery feeling? Even though there's no discharge yet? Not that there's water or fluid but like its there. Waiting. ???

Because thats what I feel before I get my period and thats what I've felt like since yesterday.

I know that feeling, I had it with my first and had her 12 hrs later. I have had it this time but it heasn't brought on the baby as of yet.

yes! i have had that sort of crampy feeling i get right before or when my period starts except i have felt this way for a few weeks. i keep feeling like i should have a pad on or something before i go to sleep (my period almost always comes int he middle of the night)

me too, me too! PMS from hj^&! I've felt this way on and off for a week or so. Due date is tomorrow so we'll see!

Me too! I feel like I've got he worlds worst pms. Cramps, and just that feeling. Course it's been on and off since last week, but has gotten worse tonight, and some odd contractions, so eventually it's gotta mean something right?

Last time labor for me started just like a period. I got really swollen and it felt like mild cramps, which obviously got worse.

Well, sounds like it is a normal feeling then - a good sign, but not neccesarily a sign that it is going to happen very soon. Yeah, I have that watery feeling - like I keep checking to make sure I'm not leaking something. I put a cloth pad on. DS and I slept really well last night and this morning. Right now I'm having some really hard cramps - I wouldn't call them contractions because they don't have the build up to the peak - more like a stab in the lower belly. I haven't true menstrual cramps - just general achiness - but I would say this feels like realy menstrual cramps.
