bump for some moms to find.

My ds had a reaction to the DTap at his 4 mo checkup. He had a temp of 104.4 and he moaned himself to sleep for a day or so. He also had knots on his legs (from the shots) for many months.

Of course, according to the pedi, it was all "normal". ::

This was my DD's first shot, DTP (before the a), we had three hours of inconsolable crying and fever. I think she got the OPV as well, but my memory has faded.

wrong place

I posted but somehow it ended in the 6-18 month. DD had one DTaP at 4 months. No reaction other than coincidentally or not, she got a cough that night at around 1 am and has had a cough/cold since. Daycare 2 days a week started 4 days later so it's hard to tell what is making it be persistent. We also have pets.

Otherwise, no reaction. Undecided whether to continue next week at 6 months 2 weeks.

ds rec'd his "4 month" vaxes in april of 2000 and was hospitalized for several days. his symptoms were vomiting, lethargy, fussiness/crying, fever, and unusual coloration on his limbs. he had spinal taps, and multiple blood draws for testing, as well as stool sample analysis to test for rotavirus. when results were inconclusive here, we were transported up to the medical university for further testing and evaluation. they did many more labs, as well as an ekg etc to check for kawasaki disease... we were discharged a few days afterwards, and supposedly it was just a random virus.

dd never received 4 month vaxes, because she had a reaction at her 2 month visit.

Yep, I'm here, though I could post on every single thread you've started Tracy (up until 6 months when we stopped vaxing.)

I could also post if there were a thread about reactions in utero to a flu shot I was given when 3 months pregnant.

Looking back, I'm certain dds problems began w/the flu shot. Of course, there is no way of proving that and then things really got bad with all the vaccines at birth.

My baby was born with clear skin and bright eyes. A few hours later she was taken for all the routine "stuff" and her eyes were somehow different - darker, hard to explain. Her skin was red and ruddy. She did not sleep and had trouble latching. Her GERD began almost immediately.

The major trouble was that she didn't sleep. I mean, she didn't even sleep in the hospital after birth like almost all babies do.

She didn't sleep more than 90 minutes at a stretch (and those times were few and far between) until she was almost 18 months old.

Okay, well, she did sleep 3 hours at a stretch a few times when she was *almost* 18 months old.

You can read our story in my siggy.

Great thread Tracy! Thanks for starting it. It's important.

Hi I'm really freaking here the discoloration of limbs was a reaction here as well I thought it was poor circulation and after being so happy about not having excema poor ds' legs are covered: I can't pinpoint it to the shots as he seems to be sensitive to proteins I'm on an ed but it is so strange that there is virtually no excema anywhere on his body except the legs where he got the injections and the leg that had the knot is worse..odd fwiw he got the 2 mo and that was it he is a lil over 4 mo now...still has excema allthough it is clearing and at some points his little legs still look splotchy..not arms or hands just legs and feet I'm baffled and disgusted!! eta sorry this should be in the 2 mo section.. my bad
