I want to win our office Halloween costume contest

Each year my company has a contest and the winner from each office chooses the charity of their choice for the company to donate to.

Assuming I don't have a baby by then, I will have a big ole full term belly, perfect for painting up into some wonderful something. I have a friend that is an awesome artist and could help.

Any ideas?

Here's what I am doing... it's a sort of lazy idea, but you are free to make use of it. I just painted an orange maternity shirt with a pumpkin on the front, over where my belly will be, and wrote The Great Pumpkin on the back.

I'll post again if anything more ambitious and impressive jumps to mind...

There are a bunch of good ideas here:

Well, you could dress up with asphalt colored sweats and paint the belly gray/black to match (or just wear clothes that show off the belly), then two yellow lines up the tummy and the length of your body. THEN you would be "a bump in the road" or a "speed bump."

You could do the same with brown clothes and green leaves to be a "bump on a log."

Oh! What about the Sigourney Weaver/Alien movie? You could paste an alien coming out of your belly.

You could go as that Budha statue?

From the link, this one is hilarious!
4. Miss Conception—wear a formal gown with a sash that says "Miss Conception."

Oh and they have the speed bump idea too, but mine's better!

I was thinking of going as a kangaroo with a little one painted on my belly...but I'm not nearly that ambitious .

I can't remember if it was here or somewhere else, but someone dressed as an oven using a cardboard box, then cut a flap like the oven door where there belly was (covered the whole thing in tin foil) and "inside" the oven, had a HUGE paper mache (or something... ) BUN (as in bread.)
They were a "bun in the oven"

(AC Moore had some big fake bread last time I was in there....)

AND... their husband went as a chef!

last yr my assistant went as Miss Conception (she was due jan) her DH was Bert Parks.(for those of you too young to remember he was THE judge for Miss America for decades!!).. it was hilarious.. she got an old bridesmaid/ prom dress at a good will store for like 5 bucks (the ugliest one she could find! and TIGHT on the belly) did the whole big 80's hair.. very funny

I think they won at the party they were at ///

You could borrow my idea to be the Kool-Aid Man. Oh, yeahhhhhhh!

A friend of mine one year wore a sexy nun costume with a sign saying "The devil made me do it" Considering the circumstances around the conception, and her personality, it was strangely appropriate.

I was a Lipton tea bag that year... I would've done better as the little teapot as short and stout as I was at that point in my life.

I don't know what I'm doing this year if anything special... All my Italian Renaissance costumes would fit, but I don't feel like dragging them out of storage.

There are some great ideas here. I'm pretty sure it's on that site but I can't find it - a really cool painting of the baby swimming in your belly with a scuba mask on. I thought that was really cute! If your belly button popped out you could do something with that - make it a red clown nose or something.

My SIL went as a snake (who'd just eaten) one Halloween when she was very pregnant. A tight snake print dress/maybe tights too is what I remember. She won a prize!

ETA: her husband went as a game warden, or guy on safari or something.
