I'm bragging!! I can't believe how much I got done!!

Since laying in the bed doesn't do a thing for keeping these contractions at bay, I decided that at least I could do a few minutes of this and that around my house today (hence the post about "letting go" earlier!) I'm not sure I was able to let go, because I was exhausted and p*ssed off that it still looks like I haven't done a THING, so I made a list to prove I actually did things and to make me feel better!

Here it is:

Washed/dried both bathrooms’ rugs
Washed/dried/folded load of darks
Washed/dried two loads of whites
Washed/dried load of pinks
Sorted all dirty laundry- twice
Pulled out boxes and got laundry that had fallen behind shelves
Brought up to living room laundry Alys had done
Watered all except Pixie’s plants
Trimmed dead parts off most of plants
Potted 6 plants that needed transplanting
Bought groceries
Picked up contacts
Cleaned out fridge
Scrubbed bathroom counter/mirror in full bath
Cleaned toothbrush holder and disinfected toothbrushes
Wiped counter/mirror in half bath
Gathered up toxic cleaning products for freecycle
Helped Pix with homework
Cut up pool noodle for birth bag, gathered/packed other items
Cleaned out large laundry basket/ put those items away
Boxed up Pixie’s outgrown clothes
Organized under kitchen sink and stocked rags for use as paper towels
Cut up old flannel pants for rags and put away
Loaded dishwasher
Put away clean dishes
Arranged changing table so that it is ready to use
Stocked diapers, etc in diaper holder
Folded wipes and put into wipes warmer
Mixed wipes solution
Packed diaper bag so that it is ready to use
Assembled diaper pail, put in liner and batteries for hands-free opening
Put away all of my clean clothing
Ordered Pixie’s “big sister” shirt

Made DH:

Take out the trash and recycling- all of it from every trash can and wastebasket
Warm up dinner for Pixie
Help Pixie with her math homework
Clean his temporary bedroom
Carry all the laundry upstairs
Fill buckets with water so the aquariums can be filled/cleaned
Take out some nasty buckets in the laundry room that were used to mix sealant for the basement and have been sitting there for a month or more

Whew. I'm having a snack, taking a hot shower, and going to BED.
Oddly enough, I actually feel BETTER!!! Still contracting (and maybe even leaking a little now and then!!!) but emotionally I feel better and I feel a bit of energy even. Weird.

Scary is right. When DH saw me putting the diaper pail together, he said, "The baby will be here soon, won't it?" I'm sure I had a frenzied deer-in-the-headlights look when I replied, "It's imminent!"

Nesting at it's finest (or craziest!!)

Wow!! Brag indeed! Wonderful mama!!!

My 'list' is pretty sucky in comparisson....

Set up the pack & play and put the stain remover on it and scrubbed the stains out
Picked up the kitchen
Swept
Swiffered
Cleaned off the computer desk
Washed out the trash can is REEKED
Put away all the clean laundry
Put the dirty laundry into the hamper
Added more stuff to my suitcase
Actually COOKED supper. LOL
Put the last bit of James' summer clothes in totes and put the totes in the closet
Picked up his toy room
Picked up the bedroom

List for tomorrow:

Clean up the mess I made clearing out the corner where the P&P now sits
Clean up the living room
Vacuum living room
*maybe* do a couple dishes depending on how the sink hurts me

List for DH when he's feeling better:

Take the broken TV to the dumpster (need help with this as its a console TV)
Clean the bathtub it's nasty
Double check the car seat to make sure it's in right
Pick the cable cord off the floor and staple it or something to the ceiling, I'm sick of tripping on it.
Clean out the van

And my "While I'm at the hospital someone DO list"

Wash my bedding in Dreft
Make sure ALL the dishes are 100% caught up

The first time I read this I thought you were saying you had a 13 year old mother... Then I read it again.

I really should get up from here and clean something around here...

wow, you did a lot!

Whoa! That is quite a list! I'm jealous I had a day like that last week and as exhausted as I was afterward, I felt strangely better about getting so many things crossed off my list. There is nothing like that feeling of relief and accomplishment, huh?

Wow, that is quite the impressive list momma. I now feel much more motivated to get some work done on my house. You are inspiring!

As hubby was watching me scrub the outside of the front door at 9:30 last night he joked I would be going into labor in less than a week. He knows with Jack I went into a flurry of sudden nesting for three days and then went into labor.

I still think it's a wee bit early though!

Aren't lists great, just when you feel like you got nothing done?

Sounds like you got a ton done, hope you are still feeling good and didn't over do anything.

Around here, I'm just keeping up with normal stuff, other than lots of cooking and baking. Tons of that this week lol

Holy smokes, woman, where did you get all that energy from? I thought I was doing a good job by keeping the house clean but you did in a day what I did in a couple of months!!!

Good for you! Feels so much better, doesn't it? Now you can sit back when the baby comes and admire your clean house while you're nursing...
Wow! Way to go!

I got up this morning and did a good deal of house cleaning (not nearly as much as you, though) and Dh asked if I was nesting. I told him I'm not sure if I'd call it that, it's just that I know these girls could come any day and I want to be ready.

No list here. But if those of you have have accomplished long lists would like to come over and add to the list at my house, consider yourself invited and welcome. I'll make a casserole for dinner.

*looking for nesting energy*
